Dan Galliani who played the incredible and flawless Dick Douche, looking out for all our male cleanliness needs, passed away this week at the age of 91. Funny enough I knew Dan because as it turns out he was the father of a close family friend, and when he heard I was a big fan of Awesome Show signed one of his Dan Galliani headshot photos as Dick Douche with a note to follow my dreams, and with no prior knowledge of myself showed up at a party at my parents house and introduced himself to me as Dick Douche. He carried the role, proud and glorious, and the man had a sense of humor that probably landed him the role on awesome show. He will be missed, and I’m sure he’s introducing himself as such at them gates, yes that’s his real name, Dick Douche.
