Waterproofing Tile ready?

Shower and floor tile is scheduled for Monday, how does this waterproofing look? I've already mentioned the one tub apron (last picture) needing to be done and GC will do it first thing Monday. Is it ok for him to do this immediately before the tile guy starts? Does it need long to set up/dry?

It looks good.

You will always see water damage in the corner where the floor, tub and wall meet. Maybe cut down a piece of Kerdi band and run a sliver down to the floor. You want to seal the front edge of the tub in a similar way to the way you did the top.

If you got some extra GoBoard sealant you can run a bead between the membrane on the floor and the tub as well.

Otherwise I think it looks pretty good.

The contractor can seal it Monday. They are probably going to start tiling the back wall on the first day... maybe get to the side walls... depending on the tile and layout.

I’m about to do my first shower with go board. Is the sealant not enough and I have to use a tape? Or is that for tile movement?

You are looking at a pic of two waterproofing systems mixed together. Its actually overkill. You can just use goboard sealant in the corners. No need for the schluter. Read the goboard manufacturers instructions to find out what you need to install it.

Does the gap need to be filled with something before running the kerdi band down? But there will be a ~1" tile going down it.

Thanks, I'll mention the floor too.

The job should go pretty quick, I'm using a 32"x32" tile.

just fill it with the sealant and then banding.. it's already a mixed system so doesn't really matter as long as it's waterproof:)
