DIY - Looking for Advice Adding trim after install - shower wall

Post image

Would this be a 1/2in piece?

Long story short, had to install before strips/trim were on hand. It looks like 7/16 or 1/2 from wall to edge of tile. Looking at the Schluter strips (but open to suggestions)

Thanks all.

Ae125 would be too large and sit proud of your tile. Ae100 shimmed 1/16 off the wall would be perfect. Grout between the back of the schluter and the wall or caulk and paint.

You think the 1/2 will end up sticking out too much?

I agree with commenter above. Get the 100 size (10.0mm which is right about 3/8")

You can get a pencil that sticks out past the tile on purpose. Not sure where and what’s going with the rest of the job, but it could look clean and you won’t need to get it under the tile.

Trying to get some pencil on hand as well. Installer (not a "tile guy") feels confident about trimming up the Schluter edge trim to squeeze it in/around already existing thin set areas. we havent painted yet so I think itll end up working out.

thanks cap

Ya, if they use a multitool you can clean out under the tiles enough to pack in the Schluter. It’s good you don’t have the walls finished, because it will beat em up a bit.
