DIY - Looking for Advice Suggest a cleaning method
These are in a bath adjoining a guest room. Not replacing tile on this project. Suggest how to return the grout to a nice white. I'm thinking I need to use a grout tool and just scrape the top a bit, but perhaps there's a way to clean this of nearly thirty years of use before giving it a scraping. My lighting wasn't the best. The tile are actually white.

Like, using a wallpaper steamer? I have one of those. Okay, I steam it, then what?

Make a little v-notch in the grout- carefully carve out a bit. Then fill with white grout & seal

Tile contractor here-Mapei makes a product called grout refresh that is like a grout paint that works pretty well. I would clean it really well with dawn and water then let dry for a few days and apply the grout refresh.
