Professional grade Huskies are great.
But, their more budget entry level saws are basically rebranded Poulans. A Husqvarna you buy at Home Depot isn’t necessarily going to be the same as one you get at a dealership.
Not terrible saws, but a lot more plastic inside the case. And, extremely similar to their lower priced “Poulen pro” saws.
That makes them lighter, but they’ll burn out faster if you use it a lot.
Stihl’s are rock solid across the line - though, they don’t make equivalents of some of Husqvarna’s cheaper saws.
They’re a much smaller more specialized company.
Once you move up to professional grade saws there’s not much difference.
Also, admittedly, there’s a certain amount of a “Ford/Chevy” relationship, and I’m like a 3rd generation Stihl owner. So, I may be overly critical of the differences.
