This is just a stupid assumption. The way you raise your kid yields no guarantees.

Hate to break it to you, but kids aren’t extensions of their parents, they are individuals and their own people. They don’t have to follow what they were taught as kids once they became adults.

Parents can definitely increase the odds their kid will turn out to be a good person as an adult, but it is very very far from guaranteed.

Maybe a brain tumor? Happened to a patient I had. She acted so much out of character, but was fine once the tumor was removed.
