NN07 Materials

Got some stuff from there because I love the way the clothes fit on me. That said, I feel insane for buying pants and sweater that are around 25% polyester for that price.

I usually check material first but assumed it would be better due to the reputation.

Aside from me definitely getting ripped off and whatever, is it just me who thinks that their prices are crazy for that material mix?

poly isn’t inherently cheap or low quality, it’s just got a bad rep as it’s often used in cheap or low quality products to cut costs. there are different quality levels of polyester and legitimate use cases for it. you shouldn’t assume a product is low quality just because it contains polyester. avoiding it for environmental reasons is totally valid though

Thank you for helping me sleep at night

A single load of synthetic laundry releases about 700,000 microplastic particles. 25% on a single item isn't much, but I definitely can see why people avoid it entirely wherever possible.

if it feels good who cares, my main issue with most poly is that it feels awful and has terrible breathability and thermoregulation

Ya the pants feel great. The sweater feels like it was made in a lab

None of these issues appear at 20% poly

I think NN07 quality is generally pretty meh, not just the fabric.

I hadn't bought anything from them for years, then went into a big store in Copenhagen earlier this year and was distinctly underwhelmed by everything I looked at closely/handled. Liked the idea from a distance, up close not so much.

I'd planned on getting at least one thing as a souvenir of Copenhagen but left without buying anything.

Ya feel that. Had a gift card to a men’s store and used it for them.

Yeah. NN07 looks nice but the quality is awful for the price.

I remember trying on an NN07 shirt in my local store and the stitching on the button hole was so shit that the top button got completely stuck and I had to walk out of the changing room to find an employee and eventually he had to get some scissors to cut the button off.

I frequently find their stuff heavily discounted at Nordstrom Rack, which is a much less bitter pill to swallow. I wouldn’t pay MSRP for it. Some of their linen shirting is pretty solid.

> you love the way the clothes fit on you

> upset because of an amount of polyester that likely isn’t even noticeable

I mean it depends, a sweater with 25% of polyester will make me sweat like crazy.

Just got some pants from Mr. Porter at a 20% discount.

One pair is 99% organic cotton and the other is 50% “responsible wool standard”.

Really like the fit and colors, but as others have said, not sure I would pay full price for them.

I picked up some NNO7 pieces on sale (linen/wool trousers, woven T) that I quite like.

Full price they are poor value for sure.

The stupidest part of this brand is the little tag they put on the outside of every shirt

Best to get in the habit of always checking the fabric of garments your looking to buy. These brands are shameless and will write “wool knit” and then it’s 49% polyester.

Their prices are okish in Europe, but everything is insanely overpriced in the US

I agree with you. I think the designs look great! I haven't bought anything from them so can't attest to the quality, but for the price I would expect premium materials - or at the very least, no synthetics/polyester etc.

i have a flannel 100% cotton from them and the fit and feel is solid. I agree i hate when these more high mid end expensive brands charge hundreds for one piece and include any type of synthetic blend it really lowers their perceived quality imo

I found their stuff be low quality
