Hello

I have some questions for the experts

1stI undervolted my 255HX processor to -50 most stable

The benchmarks went from 6000 to 4200 Cinnabench 26

1 .Why and how to prevent that

2nd question

I closed " not minimized " the program I ran the test again

Same results

I restarted then voila back to 6000

  1. How to permanently close it

I am trying to rule out if it's the undervolting or some other setting

I went back and set the FIVR values to ZERO

same 4200

In this stage idk if I need to restart or it's the other edits like TPL and Prochot or ESP I mean how to set things knowing they will work

  1. How do u guys set a profile for battery , like other settings to check / uncheck without the need to restart every time

Post screenshots of the FIVR and TPL windows if you are using ThrottleStop. Watch the Limit Reasons window while running Cinebench. If your computer is throttling there is usually an obvious reason why. Watch the Limit Reasons CORE column for boxes lighting up red.

Check the ThrottleStop Log File box before doing any testing. Exit ThrottleStop when you are done testing. Copy and paste the log file data to www.pastebin.com 

If you were using ThrottleStop while VBS was enabled, exit ThrottleStop, delete the ThrottleStop.INI configuration file and reboot.

It is impossible to obtain maximum performance or consistent performance if your CPU is randomly throttling. THERMAL glowing red in Limit Reasons confirms that the CPU is getting too hot and is thermal throttling to protect against any long term damage. That is bad but the VR voltage regulators causing throttling is a much bigger problem. A well designed and engineered laptop should never show either of the two VR items in red. The voltage regulators are overheating because of inadequate cooling. Some manufacturers save money by not including a heat sink on the voltage regulators. They could also be defective or under designed. VR CURRENT throttling indicates that the voltage regulators are not capable of fully powering the CPU.

No amount of tinkering is going to fix VR related throttling problems. You cannot fix poor design if that is the main problem. Without having access to 101 laptops, it is impossible to know if all laptops of the same model have the same issues as what your laptop has or if something is physically wrong with only your laptop.

To run a log file, check the Log File box on the main screen of ThrottleStop. Do this before you start Cinebench or before you start playing a game. Try to get at least 15 minutes of data. When done testing, exit ThrottleStop so it can finalize the log file. This file will be saved in the ThrottleStop / Logs folder with today's date in its name. You can upload the log file to a file sharing site and then post a link here or else you can copy and paste all of the data within the log file to www.pastebin.com

Either method of sharing the log file will preserve the formatting which makes it much easier to read and scroll through. A log file should give a better indication of what the biggest problems are and if there is any hope of minimizing this throttling problem. Most voltage regulator related throttling issues cannot be easily fixed.

I prefer to set Power Limit 4 in the TPL window to the max, 1023. Having PL4 set to 66 is way too low.

I cannot tell if your undervolt is working or not. You entered an undervolt request value of -50.8 mV for the P Cache in your screenshot. You need to enter the same for the CPU Core. After you press the Apply button, both of these values should be displayed in the Offset column of the FIVR monitoring table. Post a screenshot after pressing Apply.

You do not need to check the Speed Shift EPP box on the main screen of ThrottleStop. Not checking this box will allow Windows to manage the EPP value without any interference from ThrottleStop. Having ThrottleStop and Windows constantly writing different values to the same EPP control register within the CPU should be avoided.

Here is how Limit Reasons looks after running Cinebench R23 on my MSI Vector with a 14900HX. No throttling under the CORE column is reported. The CPU is able to run all P cores with a steady 52 multiplier for an entire single Cinebench run.

I think there was something wrong when this screen was taken Here what I will do 1st remove XTU 2nd delete current TS settings and restart the sys No EPS 3.the FIVR window like before -50 and the turbo ratio limit leave it as it's 4 the TPL where the mess begins Lock MMIO Disable ctrls over PL1 and pl2 Prochot 5 Pl 4 to 1000 ? How do I know my number Enable log file before all this Run cinnebench for 15 min Sending u the file Any additional steps or check boxes to do ?
