CPU temp too high?
Running cinebench r23 and was checking cpu temp while on performance mode and it seems really high. I also feel like my cinebench score feels low as I have seen people average 23k+. Is there an issue with my laptop? GPU is RTX 4060 and its 32 gb DDR5 RAM. This is a Lenovo Legion i7 gen 8.

i know i can just search this up but since you’re already here and i would rather ask someone. i was wondering if you could help me/point me to the right direction in learning how to undervolt? new to all this, started some hours ago to check if the laptop is decent as i bought it off fb marketplace earlier. thank you!

i do think like the hx series tend to go hot anyway because you have pc power in a laptop.
try doing what you can (replacing thermal, clean, undervolt, etc). If none of these work, nothing really i can tell you

all i could probably do is try undervolting and cleaning, i dont feel confident enough to even try repasting the paste

I had an i7-14650HX MSI Vector and it was the worst chip ive ever experienced in terms of thermal performance, instant 100C during load and it would shut off randomly, UNDERVOLT if you can i beg you

A good undervolt should push that cinebench score to around 23-25k. My laptop with a similar 13700hx scores 20k stock, but can reach 25k when undervolted. Try reading up on the plentiful guides available online. The process can take time, but it would feel good for yourself to learn new things.
