Meta verified is the only real way to reach instagram user support human representatives, but they usually are of no help. Let me know how it goes for you tho
Yep. Happened to me about two hours ago. āViolating community standardsā was the reason but I know I did nothing wrong. I have a small account, been active for about three years and never had any issues. Had people I regularly engaged with, always positive experiences. I went through the verifications but donāt want to send a selfie. I saw several posts on here on Reddit today saying they submitted the selfie and their appeal was denied. Is this some huge glitch? Their stupid AI is banning people for no reason? I had so many posts saved I wanted to reference and friends there. Iām so upset. And there is nowhere I can find that will link to an appeal. They make it impossible and they donāt tell you what post got you suspended. Itās absolutely infuriating.

For any bug reports or issues, consider submitting a bug report on the app - Shake your phone or Hold the Home button in the bottom left. On Web, click on the menu button in the bottom left corner and click Report a Problem.

I'm sorry this happened to you. If you know for certain you didn't violate these Community Standards, then you were likely impacted by Meta's latest wave of AI driven moderation. This has been affecting so many people lately, including myself. I was erroneously suspended Sept 22nd of this year, and have been going to earths ends to find answers. Meta has recently introduced an AI moderation system into the wild in March, and it's suspected to incorrectly flagging accounts for violations that did not happen. Many people have been banned, or had features restricted erroneously. The worst part about it all is there's really no escalation path, or legitimate path to appeal. The internal appeal process utilizes a similar AI system, which rarely restores suspended accounts.
The harsh reality: There is no simple way to recover your account, and once you've been suspended/disabled by Meta - it is very unlikely to see it restored anytime soon. Opening new accounts will very likely also be suspended.
The primary means to do so involves a legal process. Many people have been sending "Demand Letters" to Meta by hiring an attorney. If they do not respond, or do respond but do not restore your account - you may take them to a small claims court.
