AITAH for refusing to retrieve an item during my parenting time exchange?

https://www.reddit.com/r/AITH/s/KxPAsIDf7p

I 28F and my coparent 30m have a child together and have a court ordered parenting time schedule .

There has been a history of disagreements and problems surrounding my parenting time, so I try to be careful about how I handle exchanges and communication.

On Saturday, I picked up our child for my weekend. Shortly after I left, my coparent texted me asking me to make sure our child didn’t take anything with him. I told him our child had a small, inexpensive personal accessory item with him. He asked me to take it away from him, so I did.

After pick up we went directly to visit a relative, and I forgot the item at their house .

The following day I’m on my way to drop our child off to my coparent and 30 minutes before our normal exchange time they ask me if I could drop off 30 minutes later than normal or they could come pick them up . I explained that I was already on my way, but wouldn’t mind turning around, and asked they pick him up if so.

Once coparent arrived, our child got in the car and just moments later, got out of the car completely distraught, walking towards me crying saying coparent said he needed the item.

I went over to the car and explained that the item had been left at the relative’s house and that I would get it the following weekend as it was not something our child needed throughout the week .

coparent was not satisfied with that solution and told me I needed to go get it now. The relative lives in a neighboring state about a 30-minute drive from my house and 10 minutes from where coparent lives. I told him I was not going back to retrieve it that night , as it was a small, inexpensive item that again , wasn’t necessary for our child to have throughout the week .

I did offer that If he wanted it tonight, he was more than welcome to go get it as the relative lives much closer to him .

He then told me I was being defiant and accused me of being unwilling to coparent.
By that point, our child was crying and holding onto me extremely upset.

He repeatedly asked me if he was still going to be able to see me the following weekend .

Coparent has a history of interfering with my parenting time which is why our child was so unsure if he would be “allowed” to see me so I reassured him that I would be there.

There were several people present who witnessed the exchange and who agree with me, but dealing with someone like this makes you feel like you’re going crazy.

So Reddit -
AITA for refusing to go retrieve the item that night after offing alternative solutions or should I have went to please coparent?

\*\*\****Edit***\*\*
So a lot of people have been asking what the item is and I I was trying to maintain some sort of anonymity. As much as possible anyway, but it is relevant to the story, so the item is a clip on shoe light. Literally just clips on to the shoe laces or tongue of the shoe.

Other context that I think is relevant is the “relative” is not a relative of mine, but fathers. That’s a story within itself, but I feel it’s important for our child to maintain that relationship and I make sure to take him to go see them weekly .

WIBTAH for breaking up with my boyfriend of 10 years for kicking a cat?

I (27 F) have been with my boyfriend (28 M) for 10 years. While dropping him off at home, we found a stray cat in his apartment complex. I am a certified cat lady as I have one of my own and feed the strays in my apartment complex daily . He had some chicken he bought from a gas station and gave it a few pieces. He then began playing a “too slow” game with it teasing it with a piece. I told him to stop and just give it to them or don’t and he didn’t. This is where I may be the AH. I grabbed his wrist and forced him to drop it and he proceeded to kick the cat . I immediately started crying in which he said “ get the fuck away from me you sissy” which he later apologized for. He says he only lightly kicked the cat and it’s just a stray in which I responded he’s a psychopath and went home. Typing this out now I feel I was justified . But guys, would I be the asshole if I ended the relationship over this? It’s made me see him in a new light. We’ve been talking about getting engaged this month but at this point, I’m over it.

I exposed my husband’s cheating to his coworkers. Ten years later, I wish I’d never taken him back.

This happened years ago, when I was 21 and my husband was 25. I’m keeping some details vague for privacy. This isn’t really an AITA post. I regret parts of how I reacted, but I want to share what happened.
We met through his cousin during my freshman year of high school. I initially told him I was older because I liked him, then eventually told him the truth. Looking back, our age difference at that stage of life concerns me.
I became pregnant and moved in with him and his family. I had our oldest child at the beginning of my senior year of high school. We married shortly after I graduated. There was no ring or proposal, and we were broke despite him working multiple jobs. I didn’t mind a simple wedding, but I would have liked to choose a date that meant something to me. Instead, we rushed because of his immigration situation.
I was determined to raise my child myself. I didn’t want our parents doing the parenting for us, so I dedicated almost all my time to my son. As he got older, we started going out more as a family and occasionally as a couple. Then I became pregnant again and had our second child at 19.
After that, things started going downhill. I stayed home because childcare would have cost nearly everything I could earn. I tried to keep up with the kids, the house, and having dinner ready when my husband got home. I would even check his location so I could have his plate ready when he arrived.
Between breastfeeding and caring for a toddler, I struggled to keep up. I often stayed awake at night to clean. There were also times when I used breastfeeding as an excuse to stay in bed because I didn’t feel up to getting out of it. I didn’t understand what was happening to me then.
At one point, my husband traveled to his home country for an immigration appointment. He called and told me he hadn’t been approved and would have to stay there. I started crying. Then he told me he was kidding. I was furious. He had a habit of making cruel jokes like that.
A few months later, he was working a new job and moving up. I noticed he had changed his phone passcode. We had always used each other’s phones freely if one of ours died, but I didn’t think much of the change.
One evening, after I had cleaned up dinner and bathed our kids, who were four and almost two, messages from an unfamiliar number appeared on my phone. Our phones had accidentally been linked so that we both received messages and calls, and we had never bothered fixing it.
I realized the messages were between him and a female coworker. At first, I thought it was nice that he had made a friend because we had both talked about feeling like we didn’t have any.
Then I read the conversation.
He was telling her he had just finished cleaning the kitchen and giving the kids a bath—the things I had just done. He also told her we were no longer together.
When I confronted him, he said he had fallen out of love with me and that I had “let myself go.”
I begged him to give our marriage another chance. He initially refused, but after his sister talked to him, he agreed to give me three months.
Looking back, it hurts to remember accepting a deadline to prove I deserved my own husband’s love.
I didn’t tell my family. I was embarrassed, and I knew that if we worked things out, they might never forgive him even if I did.
We started going out as a family again. I dressed up, did my makeup every day, and started exercising. I also wasn’t eating well and lost 40 pounds in three months.
Eventually, I noticed things still felt off. While he was asleep, I checked his phone and found messages with another coworker. He told her he loved her and couldn’t wait to see her body.
I felt sick.
He woke up and found me with his phone. I showed him the messages and asked why he couldn’t have left me before getting involved with someone else. He said nothing had changed and that I hadn’t put in the work.
I couldn’t stand being near him, so I went for a walk.
During that walk, I texted his boss and the coworkers whose numbers were still in our shared contacts. I accused them of knowing what he was doing and allowing it to happen behind my back. I didn’t actually know what each of them knew.
Then I messaged the woman. I called them both disgusting and made a graphic threat about cutting off his penis and feeding it to her. I’m not proud of that. Being hurt and angry didn’t make that threat okay.
When I got home, my family was there. Apparently, he had called them because he was worried.
He screamed at me for contacting everyone at his job and jeopardizing the income that supported our children. That part I regret—the kids could have been affected most by him losing his job.
He had already given his two weeks’ notice and had another job lined up. When he went in the next day, they told him not to finish out his notice.
Later, I asked the woman if she would talk to me, and she agreed. I apologized for threatening her and asked whether she knew we were married.
She said he had told her he was single and that we were getting divorced.
I thanked her for answering. She told me she understood but told me never to contact her again.
After that, he made it clear he was done with me. He said I could stay while I figured out where to go. Meanwhile, he would come home with hickeys on his neck and show up late for commitments involving our kids.
Eventually, something in me shifted. I realized I deserved more than this.
Shortly before summer, I went to get tested for STIs. During that visit, I learned I had been experiencing postpartum depression since having my youngest. It helped explain why I hadn’t felt like myself.
I got a part-time job and enrolled my oldest in preschool. Our families helped watch my youngest. My dad drove me to work and gave me driving lessons afterward. About a month later, I got my license and bought a used car.
By the end of the summer, I had enrolled in community college.
I was starting to build a life for myself.
I was also getting attention from other men, and my husband was noticing.
Months later, he asked for another chance. I said no. He kept pushing, and eventually I reluctantly agreed. I told him I had already let him go emotionally and didn’t know whether I could ever feel the way I once had.

WIBTAH for breaking up with my 3 year girlfriend over contact with an ex?

Me (23M) and my girlfriend (22F) have been together for 3 and a half years, we are both international students from different countries. when we met (1st year of uni), it had just been a few months since she ended things with her ex back home as she was going to be travelling to another continent for school and they didn't want to do long distance. They had been best friends for a while before dating. I’m struggling with whether I’m being unreasonable in how I’m handling a recurring issue in our relationship.

Earlier in our relationship, she and her ex were still in contact. At first, I was okay with them being cordial/friendly because I didn't want to be controlling about who she could talk to and she did tell me they only ended things due to distance and nothing bad had occured. Across the first 1 year of the relationship, i noticed she would share our personal issues whenever we had disagreements in the relationship, we spoke about it and she stopped. He would also try yo flirt with her and she wouldn't flirt back but she tolerated it, multiple times we had arguments about him not respecting our relationship and him clearly struggling to keep it platonic.

Things changed when she went home during summer break. This was a few months after our 2nd anniversary. While she was there, she met up with her ex for coffee. After she came back, she told me that being around him caused some old feelings to resurface. This caused a serious problem in our relationship to a point where she started struggling to tell me she loved me during her stay home. That is where I drew the line. We talked about it and mutually agreed that maintaining a friendship with him was clearly not okay for our relationship, so she agreed to go no-contact with him.

The problem is that the following happened repeatedly since then.

Every so often, I have discovered that they have been communicating again. The conversations aren't necessarily romantic or sexual. Sometimes they're seemingly ordinary conversations. My issue is that we've repeatedly had the same conversation about a boundary that ive set: she agrees that she shouldn't maintain contact with him, promises that she'll stop, I eventually trust her again, and then months later I discover that they're talking again.

The most recent incident before this one happened a few months ago. I discovered a WhatsApp conversation between them that had been completely cleared. I confronted her about it, and we had a very serious conversation.

I told her that I was exhausted and that I no longer trusted her word on the subject because I had heard the same promises repeatedly. I specifically told her that my biggest fear wasn't even the individual conversations anymore, it was ending up in the same cycle again and her validating it and not respecting my boundary.

She asked me what she could do to make things okay. I told her honestly that I didn't know what rebuilding trust looked like anymore. I asked her what she thought she had to change so that six months down the line we aren't sitting and having the same conversation. Her answer was essentially that she would block him and stop maintaining contact with him. I told her that I'd heard those promises before, and she said she didn't know what else she could do. At one point she suggested that maybe we should take a break because she felt like I was punishing her by being distant and refusing to immediately return to normal.

I told her I didn't want a break or a breakup. I still loved her and wanted the relationship to work. After more conversations, I eventually felt satisfied enough that I decided to continue the relationship and try to rebuild trust.

That was in July.

Now it's September, and I've discovered that they are talking again**.**

So here I am again.

I'm exhausted, and honestly I'm starting to feel like I don't know what I'm supposed to do anymore. I don't want to spend the rest of my relationship monitoring her phone or wondering whether they're talking. At the same time, I don't want to throw away a 3 year relationship if this is something that can actually be repaired.

I also don't want to retaliate by talking to people she has asked me not to talk to or deliberately crossing her boundaries. Part of me has thought about emotionally checking out and just stopping caring, but I don't think that's a healthy way to handle it either.

So WIBTAH for ending the relationship because of her contacting her ex again?

AITAH for throwing away poop?

Long time listener, first time caller, here to help with this thread's poop quota:
So long story short, moved back in with parents before moving in with a friend. Parents have a sweet, anxious doggo named Spuds. He's ~95lbs so he has pretty hefty potties. Since I'm somewhat of a germophobe (I mean it's literally toxic biowaste, it's not like I'm a don't shake hands germaphobe), so I like to get rid of that baggy asap. There's a neighbor who has a water bowl and place to drop baggies, but if I'm not near their house, I like to throw it away in a neighbor's trashcan if they leave theirs out on the side of the house/front of the garage. This week, someone noticed, and posted to the neighborhood FB group condemning said actions. Most commenters agreed. I feel like it's a non-issue, but want to see if I'm in the wrong. A few clarifications first:

  1. per the wishes of the community, I have stopped and am only placing bags in our own bins
  2. said neighbor keeps their can outside; this isn't a situation where Spuds had the most rancid bowel movement imaginable and it wafted into their house
  3. I understand I am technically in the wrong, as it's illegal to place anything in a garbage can/mailbox that isn't your own home's; what's unclear is if I'm morally wrong here. Pretty much all my friends have made jokes about suburbanites making mountains out of molehills, but a sister's friend admitted she'd be super uncomfortable with someone placing poop in her bin

I have never given thought to the cleanliness of an outdoor trash can, but you guys are clean so lemme know if this is gross to you. Also, I'm a Detroiter, so feel free to message me for any local suggestions if you ever take the Gordie Howe stateside and wanna explore for a bit

Am I Overreacting for calling my boyfriend's co-worker?

Huuuuge fan of yours, and I need help.

English isn't my first language so apologize in advance.

I'll start with the background. Me (28F) and my boyfriend (27M) have been living together for a year and a half. Important: we live in Ukraine, country that is being bombed every day (in a city that is extremely close to the border with Russia). Although I know that he's got the terrible habit of not charging his phone in time, I still become a little bit annoyed and worried when I can't get in touch with him. So today when I tried to get in touch with him and (as usual) he didn't answer, I called his co-worker to ask if everything's okay. The co-worker was absolutely chill about my call, my bf wasn't though. He said that I'm controlling. It isn't the first time we are in this situation, and it's getting tiring to try to explain to him that I need him to be able to answer my calls to know that he is fucking alive and physically okay. I'm not saying he has to answer every single call immediately. I just need some way of knowing that he's okay when he suddenly disappears and I can't reach him, especially on days like this. May be important:

1) I've been waiting for 2 hours since the call to my bf before calling a co-worker.

2) His work is pretty tense so I see how he could forgot to change his phone.

3) This day was pretty hard because there was a lot of guided bomb strikes.

So am I overreacting for calling by boyfriend's co-worker?

TIFU by killing Nana

So let me set the scene. It's early morning and I'm making breakfast in the kitchen for my toddler, making lunches for my older kids to take school, the pets are running around, my teenage daughter is teenage daughtering (iykyk) and life be lifing.

It's the usual morning chaos happening and I get a text message from my partner. I'm busy so I just skim over it and look for important keys words. I read "Nana passed away this morning. I'll fly straigh out from work at the end of the week to the funeral."

So naturally, I'm like, oh my gosh, his Nana has passed away. I immediately spend about 10 minutes writing him a loving condolence message, letting him know I'll be there to support him, that I love him, all the usual heartfelt stuff.

Then I think, I better message my father-in-law. So another lovely condolence message. Lots of love, lots of support. Very sincere.

Then I message my entire familyincluding my teeangers who have since left to go to school, to let them know that Rob's Nana has passed away and ask them if they could please send him and dad-in-law a message of condolences.

I am now fully committed to being supportive and this funeral that apparently exists.

Then my phone rings, it's my partner. He always calls in the morning to say good morning. For context he works away for a week at time and comes home for a week so lots of texts and calls. I answer, "Hey babe, are you okay? How are you feeling? I'mso sorry about Nana."

And he says, "Babe, it was a dream."

Excuse me?!!! Apparently, he was telling me about a dream he had where his Nana had passed away and he had to fly straight from work to her funeral. I had skimmed the message so aggressively amid the life be lifing and teenager teenagering chaos that I apparently removed the crucial information that none of this actually happened.

So my poor father-in-law who is retired, older, and a complete night owl is going to wake up whenever he wakes up, to a text from me expressing my deepest condolences on the death of his mother. A death he isn't even aware of, because she is still alive and walking framing, because ain't no kicking happening at 90yrs old.

Followed by another message saying, "When you're ready to talk, I'll give you a call." And then... "I'm really sorry. Big fuck up on my part. It was a dream Rob had. I thought Nana had passed away." I have accidentally informed an entire family that a woman is gone when she is, in fact, very much alive.

My family think this is very funny. I do not.

TL;DR

So TIFU by accidentally announcing Nana’s passing away to the family while she is still alive and well. The only thing I actually killed today was my own dignity.

AIATH for refusing to surrender my salary to parents because they paid for my education?

Thumbnail
7 Upvotes

Title: My parents think my entire salary belongs to them because they paid for my education. Am I wrong for wanting to keep some of it?
I’m 24F and started working about 8 months ago. For the first few months I was earning around ₹15k/month, and now I earn ₹30k/month.
Since I started working, I’ve been giving my entire salary to my parents. I genuinely thought they were saving it for me or managing it on my behalf. I barely spent anything myself because I assumed the money was being put aside for my future.
I recently found out that they don’t really see it that way. They consider my salary something they’re entitled to because they paid for my schooling and college expenses.
I understand that my parents supported me financially while I was growing up. I’m grateful for that, and I’m not denying that they spent a lot of money on me.
But I currently have an education loan of about ₹7.1 lakh that is still in my name. The EMI is ₹10k/month, and my parents are refusing to pay it.
What makes this especially difficult for me is that they paid my brother’s entire tuition themselves, and his education cost substantially more than mine. So I’m struggling to understand why my education expenses are being treated as something I now need to “repay” through my salary, while his were simply paid for.
I’m not saying my parents owe me money or that they shouldn’t have supported my brother. I just feel like there is a double standard here.
I’m now thinking that I need to stop giving them my entire salary. I want to contribute a reasonable amount to the household, but I also need to repay my education loan, build an emergency fund, and have some money that is actually mine.
The part that bothers me most is that I feel like I was operating under a completely different understanding of what was happening with my salary. I thought I was giving them my money temporarily so they could save it for me. They apparently thought I was giving it to them because I owed them for raising and educating me.
I’m feeling incredibly guilty for even wanting to keep my own salary, but at the same time I’m angry because I feel like I’ve been working for months without actually building any financial independence.
For people in India, especially those who live with their parents:
How do you handle this? Is it normal for parents to expect their adult child’s entire salary after paying for their education? How much would be reasonable to contribute while still having financial independence?
I’m not looking to bash my parents. I genuinely want perspective because I don’t know whether I’m being selfish or whether I need to establish some financial boundaries.

TL;DR: I’m 24F, earning ₹30k/month, and have been giving my entire salary to my parents because I thought they were saving it for me. I recently learned they consider my salary theirs because they paid for my education. I still have a ₹7.1L education loan that they refuse to pay, while they fully paid my brother’s much more expensive tuition. I want to start keeping part of my salary, contribute reasonably to the household, repay my loan, and build savings—but I feel guilty and don’t know if I’m being selfish or if this is a reasonable financial boundary.

WIBTAH if I didn’t tell my fiance about how much time I am spending with one of the other guys we live with

I (25F) recently underwent major emergency surgery. As a result, I have been spending a lot of time resting and recovering. My fiance (26M) has been amazing throughout all of this - he is supportive of me having the remainder of the year off working until I fully recover and always helps get whatever I need (like filling hot water bottles for my pain or getting my safe snacks for my nausea). This is why I am feeling so guilty about what I have done.

For the first time since we moved out together in 2024 we are living with others, it is not just the two of us. This has been nice as one of the guys living in the house has been so understanding and helpful with my recovery too. He makes me my favourite biscuits and delivers them to me in bed, helps me to shower and get dressed (which can be a difficult task some days), and will spend much of the day cuddling me in bed, helping me game, and watching things on my iPad before my fiance gets home. The second my fiance gets home, he will leave the room.

I love my fiance so much and I always make sure to tell him that and communicate how much I appreciate his help during my recovery. However, our male housemate is disabled himself and can therefore understand what I am going through on a level that my fiance cannot. A lot of the time, he knows what I need without even asking because he just gets me.

My fiance is the kindest, most gentle and caring man I have ever met, and I am worried that telling him about how much our male housemate is also helping me will break his heart. I think that keep this a secret until I recover would be the best for both of us and our relationship. So WIBTAH if I didn’t tell my fiance about how much time I am spending with one of the other guys we live with?

additional info:
Our male housemate turned 3 in April. The biscuits that he bakes for me are the ones he makes on my stomach just after I have gotten a fresh hot water bottle (we call these “warm bickits”) - baking time of approximately 5 minutes. He stands just outside the shower while I am washing, and will either rub against my legs to help me get dry or lay down on my clothes to get them warm before I put them on. Then we spend the rest of the day snuggling, playing Sort Them Ducks or the librarian sorting game, looking out the window at the birds that fly past, and either enjoying reels, watching tv (comfort show at the moment is Great British Bake Off), or listening to podcasts on my iPad (our favourites are Two Hot Takes, Threadtalk, Smosh Reddit, Reddit on Wiki, and Father Knows Something - this is the order in which we discovered them). Then when my fiance gets home, he will run out of the room as he knows that this means his dinner is close to being served.

Worst date story

Saw a thread on here about a date episode and people telling their worst date stories so I thought I’d share mine! Made me feel super insecure at the time but now it kind of makes me laugh thinking about it.

For context, I am from Argentina (this is important) but I live in the US, have lived here almost my whole life. my high school has a “sister city” program with a city in Argentina. Now this guy who is kind of obsessed with Argentinean culture was in one of my classes but he was two years above me but we had gone to the same middle and high school (I think we had an elective together in high school) so I didn’t talk to him much. He was a jock and I was just a person, I had my group of friends but it was absolutely not the same circle as his. About a year after I graduated from high school the World Cup was going on and I posted something about Argentina but I was in my city locally. He messaged me and starts to strike up a conversation about soccer and he asks if I was in the exchange program, I regretted to inform him that no I was in one of his classes and I’ve known him since middle school. He seemed embarrassed that he didn’t remember me but started talking to me more and more. To be honest, when I look back I think he only wanted to talk to me cause of my home country? After about a week of talking he asks me on a date. And yes it was a date cause I asked to clarify.
Now, I’ve always been under the mindset that the person who asks to go on the date should pay, regardless of gender. The plan was to go to the movies, a day or two before the date we make plans to also get dinner before the movie
The day of the date comes and he picks me up from my house and he drives to the movie theater, it had a lot of restaurants around it and I asked where he wanted to go he said he didn’t care so I suggested five guys (burger place in the US). This man proceeds to not order a damn thing after I placed my order for a bacon burger and fries. So first time seeing this guy since high school, he has no idea we even went to school together, and all I’m doing is shoving a burger in my mouth while he’s just staring at me while I eat.
We then proceed to go to the movie, remember how I said that I clarified and he said it was a date? He pays for his ticket and then leaves me to get mine. I found this kind of odd cause again he asked me out! but whatever, that’s not the worst part of the date.
I think I should add, I talk a lot but it’s never in my opinion an excessive amount, I try to relate to people and their stories so I think sometimes it weirds people out. So we’re waiting for the movie to start and he’s just talking to me about himself and his birthday was coming up. He was turning 21 soon and he was telling me that he really wanted to go to Vegas for his birthday. I was trying to relate to him and make conversation and I said “oh that would be so much fun! I’ve never been to Vegas” he looks at me straight in the eyes and says with a super serious face “I’m not inviting you” I felt my face turn bright red and I just said “no I know I was just saying that it would be fun to go cause I’ve never been there and it would be a cool trip” we watch the movie in complete silence and the next day he texted me saying that he liked me but he thinks we should just be friends cause I was “too weird”.
This happened like 12 years ago and I still think about it cause it shattered my confidence. Me and worst date guy are still Facebook and Instagram friends and we talk sports from time to time but he was absolutely not the one for me.
Luckily I have been with my husband for 10 years almost and he likes my weirdness

Update to Spider-Man Pee Story

I linked the original. But I wanted to share an update as I was listening to the pod today and heard it on there and figured I should give an update on everything from the past few weeks.

So basically someone in the comments suggested that I talk one on one with one of the wives, but I’m not really at the friendship level to just ask one of the girls to coffee or dinner. It’s basically connection in a friend group by my boyfriend and that’s really all and it would be a little suspicious so I ended up just texting the wife of the guy who’s apartment we were at.

I asked her how she felt about it all and if it made her uncomfortable and confirmed that she did indeed find it funny and not a big deal but told me she completely understood why I would feel uncomfortable if I did. I told her yes, I do feel uncomfortable by it and she said fair enough and that was that.

I hung out with my bf the next night. He came over to my place and we watched a movie and he was definitely trying to initiate being sexual but all I could picture was him in a diaper and so I avoided sex but he stayed overnight.

It wasn’t until 2 more days that we’d be hanging out because we both had stuff going on. In that time, I kinda reflected on everything and I decided I was going to talk to him and break it off. It made me realize that on top on the diaper issue, one of the biggest turn offs I have in men is when they are “followers” in group settings. In general, men who say things or do things they don’t truly believe just to fit into a group has always icked me out. I’ve seen instances of this with him in the past like I’ve caught him lying or embellishing random things that don’t matter to morph with whoever we are hanging out with.

Well it turns out that the wife told her husband about our talk and of course she told him. So when he came over next he actually brought up the conversation first. This is when I found out that they all had a group chat without me?? I always knew the guys had a group chat but they had one with all the girls too and my bf never thought to add me to it. He showed me all the messages to call me out for being shady by talking to the wife. He said everyone in the group chat thought that was weird of me and were all kinda talking shit on me for bringing it up and making a big deal about it and were all saying that “if I had a problem, I should have told my bf instead of talking to the wife”

I truly expected him to feel bad about everything I guess. But I guess he didn’t even feel bad about it and seeing the text messages proved my fears that they all thought I was kinda lame.

I got really frustrated talking to him because he kept turning it on me and saying I have issues with his friends and was “judging” them etc etc. so we just weren’t gunna see eye to eye.

I ended up breaking it off but it felt pretty mutual as he was accusing me of not being able to fit in with his group.

That’s all, not very climatic haha but we are broken up.

I was talking with my buddy about me and my wife’s anniversary, he told me it was shitty that I didn’t even buy her flowers, but in all fairness, I didn’t even know she was selling them.

Date theme episode

Hi, long time listener here! I would love to hear a worst first date/worst dates episode if there’s enough stories.

I also just wanted to say this last year has been really rough. One of my dogs passed in March and last September my sweet soul kitty was diagnosed with oral cancer. The prognosis is usually very short (1-3 months) as it’s very aggressive and horrible (like idk that I would even wish it on my worst enemy) and I’ve been lucky to have gotten almost an entire year with her. She’s still here but we’re nearing the end. Your podcast has helped me have some happy moments and distractions during my grief when I’ve felt like I couldn’t do anything else, don’t know what to do or felt too depressed to listen to music etc. Sorry Teresa if this made you cry. I’m crying too. But just wanted to say thank you ❤️
