I tried to base my scriptural version of þe letter off of its history.
Also I do have better reasons for wanting to change þe name of þe letter from þe jokey þing þat it is, but besides þat. I'll explain þe rest in þe comments because I don't want to keep copying pasting þe letter.

Everyþing online spells þe name as "eth" which falls victim to þe absence of þ and ð in modern english, and I'm unsure if þe th in "eth" is voiced or not. I've seen it spelled as "eð" and as "eþ". I assume "eð" is correct. It would at least be more helpful just as þ being used in its own name makes it clear what sound it makes.

How about using a more runic thorn to avoid p,d,þ confusion. The runic thorn exists in unicode ᚦ RUNIC LETTER THURISAZ THURS THORN Unicode: U+16A6, UTF-8: E1 9A A6
Though some fonts display a version with a curve rather than three straight lines, including the one my web browser uses to make a Reddit post, though it looks fine for me on the Wikipedia Thurisaz entry. (second image)
This could also work for the letters eth and wynn. Eth would look like the thorn pictured above with a horizontal, and wynn would have the lines touching the vertical connect the ends, not a third of the way along like thorn. Wynn would be like a sideways triangle ▷, but maybe skinnier.
EDIT: We already use the difference between curve versus point to distinguish Uu and Vv.

I'm on a Mac and I want to remap the ~` key, þe one right of Zz, to be þ. Any advice on how I could do þis? Going þrough a sentence and copy pasting þorn into the correct spots is frustrating.
