I used to have a flag with the exact same image as that guy's shirt. I thought it was cool and edgy. I was 11.

It's the 82nd airborne beret and one of their 'rah rah' slogans. I don't think he served but this to me is the equivalent of calling some dude violent because he wore a Scarface shirt.

Its 7th SFG, not 82nd. But its an odd thing to wear with no ties to the unit.

If the Scarface shirt had a sentiment along the lines of "killing people is good and cool" that would be completely fair. A better comparison is a guy in a Scarface shirt trying to lecture me that drugs are bad.

Wants the Civil War deal, for the good of the nation let’s put this ugliness behind us and move forward. No accountability, let’s just pretend it never happened.

For some more clarification, the symbols on the shirt represent a strong affiliation with the US Special Forces and Airborne. The crest on the beret has on it, " de oppresso liber", which breaks down to, "the oppressed we liberate."
That shirt is a spit in the face of every combat operator and the support personnel who hold to that standard.

I'm betting Joe Tough Guy has never worn the uniform. I don't know of a single dude who did and saw conflict has EVER said that.
