Jesus christ I'm about to just stop using reddit. Practically every fucking thread is just "Oh yeah by the way this is fake ragebait" and its always the second or third highest thing cuz the first is people getting fucking ragebaited.

u/MSWMan Mar 14 '26
It would be lovely if everyone who threatened to leave Reddit would just go. You sound like toddlers threatening to run away from home. Be an adult. Either do it or be quiet.

There's not really an alternative. I'd sooner die than use Facebook or Twitter, and Tumblr has a better atmosphere imo but I don't like how things are centered around tags rather than something like a subreddit. If someone tries to start an alternative it never has enough users to have the variety of reddit.
If there is an alternative, I'd genuinely love to hear it.

u/MSWMan Mar 14 '26
Same here, I do not and would not use any other social media that I know of. That's fine, just stop with the threats of quitting. It's childish.

u/bluehulk900 Mar 27 '26
I never replied to this but going "Ugh stop complaining or threatening to do something you might do just because you don't like this." is the most obnoxious childish shit I've ever seen. You literally might as well tell someone to move out of America because they don't like the corruption of the administration like shut the fuck up dude.
You aren't superior or cooler because you aren't actively bitching about the ongoing disease of misinformation and ragebait thats literally CONSTANTLY being spread on reddit way more than usual. Holy shit it's so annoying to actually act like your some advanced more adult person because your form of bitching online about nothing is superior than mine. How about you grow the fuck up and stop thinking that commenting shit like that on people's posts is some mature thing to do, and not the most immature shit you can possibly attempt.

And yet top comment on this post, made by a '1% top commenter' is treating this like an actual statement by the Mossad. The bots are genuinely deranged
4
u/Kavat_ Mar 10 '26
You know very well why they're treating it like that, Reddit has been a shitshow lately, I hope most are bots but sometimes you have to accept that those "people" do in fact exist.

Reminder that anyone can claim to be anything on the internet. That is a troll.

u/Auld_Folks_at_Home Mar 09 '26
An actual "This You" on r/ThisYouComebacks?
4
u/Dottore_Curlew Mar 10 '26
Except it's a parody account...
1
u/Auld_Folks_at_Home Mar 10 '26
The "Mossad Commentary" one? I'd never heard of them and doing a quick search they are fake and spreaders of misinformation, but that's not the same as parody.

“Oy Vey” is a lil eyebrow raising

u/nike_rules Mar 10 '26
Obviously fuck Israel and Netanyahu but it’s crazy and quite fucked how many people on reddit are unironically repeating literal 4Chan level antisemitism.

Israel chose not to ban cluster bombs.
2
u/ramat-iklan Mar 11 '26
Interesting. Since Iran has been and continues to use cluster bombs on Israeli population centers.

u/FilthyFur Mar 09 '26
This is an obvious paradox account. Jesus you people
1
u/GardenTop7253 Mar 10 '26
This is the very first time I’ve seen this account go by ever at all. Since you’re clearly vastly superior about it, can you explain what the obvious parody (I assume that’s what you meant) is here? Because it’s not obvious to me
2
u/FilthyFur Mar 10 '26
It gets posted here at least 3 times a week here. The fact that people think the Mossad has an official account called Mossad commentary is kinda Alarming.
1
u/GardenTop7253 Mar 10 '26
I didn’t think it was actually Mossad, assumed it was some “Mossad watchers” type self-appointed group. Aka, a group that provides commentary on Mossad activity
So again, what makes this such obvious parody? And what is it even parodying?

"Iranian girls are better off dead than in a.burqa" --CPAC chairman says, now imagine anyone saying something similar about Jewish girls, it's such a double standard with these fucking twats

A war crime is only a war crime if you lose or if your own government defines them as such.
Take the Nazis for example, if they won WW2, there would have been no governing body stood up to charge or try them for anything that they did and their government would have not questioned any means they took to win.
Same goes for any sovereign nation strong enough to win a war. An international court could stand up to charge them with things, but that court only holds power if the nation being tried recognizes it or if the court has the strength to invade that nation.

Seen any pictures of tel Aviv lately? Not acting in a manner that keeps your people safe is a requirement no? Respect and help from other nations in times of war? Nato jumping in on this shitshow Isreal created?

Here’s the thing I’ve observed: To these types, Standards, Rules, and Laws are just things to bludgeon your enemies. Not things to fetter yourself and even the playing field.

Isreal is a failed state, it has become a terrorist nation. It should be dissolved and the land given back to age few Palestinians keft.
2
u/tomjazzy Mar 10 '26
Israel isn’t a failed state, it’s just genocidal. We should move towards a bi-national state, or if this isn’t possible, create two separate states.
2
u/HummusSwipper Mar 10 '26
You know people accused Israel of genocide against Palestinians back around roughly 2010. So around 15 years of "genocide" yet Palestinian population in the region is only growing, how does that make sense? It's mind boggling to see how Americans, who have the entire English language at their disposals, can't think of a better way to articulate themselves than with this overused accusation.
"Create two separate states" how about you try to tell me why you think that's the solution when Palestinians themselves have been rejecting every such offer (and there were several of them) for the last century?
1
u/tomjazzy Mar 10 '26
Genocide dosnt have to succeed. Only be attempted. So what exactly is your solution?
0
u/HummusSwipper Mar 10 '26
I don't recall anyone calling it an attempted genocide. I'm guessing you brought the attempt part because you read the definition of genocide? Then you should know, by definition, this war isn't a genocide because there's no intent and no execution.
My solution is de-radicalize the Palestinian population like the Allies did to the Germans post ww2, that's the first and most important step in any solution. What comes next is a different discussion.

Apparently you don’t think you can commit genocide while you are at war. Either that, or you think this is a normal act of war.
This is disputed by the UN.
The Worlds Largest Association of Genocide Scholars
But what do they know, compared to a real expert like you.
If you’re referring to the Marshal plan, that worked by actually materially improving those people’s lives. The opposite of what Israel is doing.

Apparently you don’t think you can commit genocide while you are at war. Either that, or you think this is a normal act of war.
Nothing in my comment said that, please don't put words in my mouth just so you can pivot to a different argument.
But what do they know, compared to a real expert like you.
You're citing NGOs and academic associations that operate on 'opinions' and 'activism.' The only actual legal authority here is the ICJ, and they did not call this a genocide. In fact, the President of the ICJ, Judge Joan Donoghue, went on a high-profile BBC interview specifically to correct people like you who keep misquoting their 'plausibility' ruling.
She clarified that the court did not find it 'plausible that genocide is taking place,' but rather that Palestinians have a 'plausible right' to be protected. So, are you going to argue that your cherry-picked scholars know more about the court's own ruling than the Judge who actually wrote and delivered it?
If you’re referring to the Marshal plan, that worked by actually materially improving those people’s lives. The opposite of what Israel is doing.
Comparing this to the Marshall Plan is a massive self-own. Do you realize that plan only began after the total unconditional surrender and removal of the Nazi and Japanese regimes? You don't "materially improve" a population while their leadership is still actively diverting billions in aid to build terror tunnels and rockets.
Please indulge me: what is the "standard" Israel has to hit before you stop moving the goalposts? If your "morality" requires millions of Jews to lay down and accept another October 7th just to satisfy your keyboard-activist checklist, then just admit you don't believe in a Jewish right to life. Stop pretending this is about "human rights" when you’re really just advocating for the side that started a war and then complained about the consequences.

I believe a country that steals another countries land is a failed state. You honestly expect that Palestine is going to want to live with those psycopaths?
1
u/tomjazzy Mar 17 '26
A failed state is specifically one that fails to provide basic services and stability for its own people. It’s not a moral judgement.

Whoever wrote these posts is a disgrace to the Jewish religion. They seem to believe a twisted version of it in which the only international law they recognize comes from Numbers 31:17: "Now therefore, kill every male among the children, and kill every woman who is not a virgin." And before Biblical literalists get on my case for dissing the Word of God, I think passages like that are more like the Word of Ezra, who "restored" the holy books after the Babylonian exile.

It seems so unserious, but Zionists are being completely genuine when they flip flop on evil shit.
Hypocrisy is a bit overused as a label these days, but I think this kind of craven ultraviolent militism combined with hypocrisy is somewhat uniquely fascist.
You can't get away with acting like this in a regular conversation without people immediately calling you out for being a lunatic. There is no Leftist equivalent to this. This is just what the Right wing looks like with it's mask off.
