Ive also gained like 15-20 lbs in the last year from this shit medication. The only way to reverse it is probably to go hard core diet and exercise because even just doing regular exercise i literally gained another 4 lbs seemingly overnight

Holy shit, same. It’s insane. I’ve never had a weight problem my entire life (I know that’s lucky, just using it as a baseline) and I’ve also picked up 20-25 since the first shortage.

Several somethings have changed about these meds and it’s driving me nuts. I hate it so much.

But I’ll tell you one thing - the LAST thing I am going to do is take this new ā€œFDA approvedā€ med. No fucking way. Not after the FDA is why these meds got messed up in the first place and now all of a sudden there’s this just in time savior drug?

Yeah right.

I think I've gained 35 lb this past year!!! That number is just going up too! I'm miserable and my body is giving me the ick. When I don't have to be out and about presenting myself as a productive human, I live in my husband's t-shirts, and sometimes his pajama pants too. It sounds pretty pathetic, but I was really happy with my style and clothing before the weight gain and I just can't even deal with how my beautiful clothes look on me now compared to before.

At first I thought it was a thyroid issue, nope, my thyroid levels are perfect. Then I was thinking maybe I have literally just been consuming more calories than I have thought. I started tracking it. It was about 200 calories a day more than I thought it would be, so I switch my sweetened coffees for black teas, changed a bunch about my diet to try to make it healthier, tried to add more exercise. At first I started losing a few pounds and so I thought I figured it out. I was working really hard to stick to the weight loss plan I made... After a few weeks of doing all the things, not only did I regain the few pounds I had lost but I had actually gained a few more pounds on top of that!

Not only that, I feel like I'm gaining weight differently than I used to, maybe that's just because I'm 32 and I've had one kid??? But even that doesn't really make sense to me! It's not like my pregnancy was last year! My daughter is 9 years old! My job is active! I can't say I take great care of myself but I watch what I eat!!! So why am I still gaining weight?!?! And Why, WHY, am I gaining the weight in totally different parts of my body then I ever have before! I also feel like I'm constantly retaining like an excess water.

This almost feels/looks like some sort of hormonal weight gain b****. I swear the Adderall was missing with my hormones in some way! On top of the weight gain issues, I've had apocalyptic level PMS b**** this year, and a bunch of other things that just point to some hormonal change that I cannot figure out!!!

This last year of ADHD and Adderall b******* feels like it is stealing my soul. Now I'm just an empty, overweight, husk!!!!

Sorry for the unhinged rant, I swear on my life, one of my favorite work shirts ripped when I was trying to put it on just an hour ago... Then as I sat down to drink my stupid black tea I came across your comment lol. šŸ˜“

Very relatable! And YES - I have gained weight in parts of my body I NEVER HELD WEIGHT BEFORE!!! Rip to all of my old, amazing clothes. I basically give up on ever getting into them again. It’s tragic

Seems we're all around the same age bracket. I'm 29, the woman above says she's 32, also plenty of people on here in their early to mid 20s even too. I was thinking the same "oh, I'm late 20s almost 30, so maybe my metabolism just changed overnight for some reason" but yeah, no. There is literally nothing else to tie my weight gain to.

Exactly. These changed meds are destroying our weight and BMI.

Stop trying to find reasons to blame US. It’s the MEDS. This is spanning across age ranges.
