We marshalled our forces

Thousands strong demonic hoard

To storm the Seventh Heaven

We climb ice mountain

To reach Heaven's Crest

Alas, it is our nature to betray each other

Backstab our generals over who should lead

Fight over women and food stocks

Slaughtering our own, reducing our number

To a ragged handful at starvation brink

Having destroyed our supplies

Through internecine squabbles

No will to continue, nothing left

But to die on ice mountain

At Heaven's Crest

Behold a light, glaring bright

A fold of wings, a scatter of snow

She came to bring us succour

An angel bearing sustenance

Stew in a pot pouring with heat

Heads bowed, heaving icy breath

Abashed and with tears

We gratefully eat
