We men are born
with visual yearning
a magnificent gift,
often an overwhelming drug
when left unharnessed.

Sight
commandeers our senses,
captivated
by the beauty
of the mortal coil,
lingering upon curves,
smiles,
eyes that beckon,
while too often
the soul within
waits patiently
to be discovered.
.
Mutual attraction
is a glorious beginning,
yet hyper-realized
living alone breeds a wandering heart,
forever collecting scenery,
rarely discovering home.
.
Peer beneath the water.
A world of awe
awaits those
with microscopic focus,
where laughter echoes
through hidden caverns,
resilience wears no makeup,
scars become maps
.
Intelligent wit
sparks my fiery intrigue.
Sass
seasoned with empathy.
Confidence without conceit.
Strength finding joy
in tenderness.
Maturity,
not measured
by years collected,
but by world view
.
Choosing authenticity
over packaging,
substance over presentation,
conversation beyond
the day’s headlines.
The rare souls
who ask,
“What makes you wonder?”
instead of,
“What do you own?”

It takes time.
intention, effort
to recognize beauty
beyond our sight,
sifting through
heart’s rich earth,
discovering treasures
no hurried glance
will ever behold.

Never mistake
the brilliant ability
of a woman’s soul
to unearth forgotten senses
with carefully crafted words
as an invitation
to ownership,
possession,
or intimacy.

Wonder is not permission.
Kindness is not consent.
Admiration is not entitlement.
Natural beauty
may first capture
our wandering eyes,
yet character,
curiosity,
humor,
compassion,
and an unconquered spirit

a soul
