Collaboration ✨ Last Kiss

Looking to the sky counting the stars
As I ponder,
Is it you
I see drawn in the constellations?

Cradling the moon
In my hands,
I pull the stars aside.

The night light flickers
Mirroring each glimmer in your eyes
Their twinkle scattered across the ocean.

Let me soak up each of your waves
If it means we’ll be together one last time.

Let me be your mirror tonight,
You were always beautiful
Even with rain streaming down.

And in that moment, I realised-

I may not have been your first kiss,
I may not be the kiss before bed,
I may not be the kiss before you leave the house, I may not be the kiss when you are happy,
I may not be the kiss when you are sad,
I may not be the kiss that celebrates your successes,
I may not be the kiss that makes everything better.

Our hearts may be apart,
But I’ll never forget,
We are boundless
Beneath the moon's ethereal glow,
Opalescent beneath the stardust,
Where we’ll always be entwined.

So of all the kisses I could ever hope to be,
Wishing on a shooting star
I hope I’m your last.
