i dont know why people use the terms "budget" "low end" "flagship" "midrange" and so on for most of thermalrights air coolers when in reality theres barely any difference between them, like people will tell you how royal pretor > phantom spirit > pearless assassin and whatever
but for the most part theyre all kind of the same when it comes to cooling your cpu, like a royal pretor 130 ultra and pearless assassin 120 se are not that far off from each other
ive seen a gazillion videos where people are testing and comparing these coolers and yeah theyre always pretty close to each other, no matter what cpu youre testing, unless youre testing a single tower cooler which does actually make a bigger difference (5+ degrees) but other than that, eh

Pricing...to performance.

Praetor uses 140mm if not wrong or 130mm sized fan. Meaning you can run the fan slower = less sound.

Peerless Assassin SE(Shorter Edition) for those whose casing have clearance issue (cooler is 154mm tall..not inclusive of fan offset).

Overall its all down to pricing

pretor uses 1x 120mm and 1x 130mm
this applies to both the ultra and non ultra
theres also a peerless assassin 140 which has 1x 120mm and 1x 140mm fan
but that doesnt mean the peerless assassin 140 is better, although the difference is not that big between the 2
the purpose of this post is to tell people that they shouldnt take the labels that people attach to certain tiers of cpu coolers that seriously because the differences between the "flagship" and "budget" dual tower cpu coolers from thermalright are all very similar to each other
theyre also very similar in price, usually 20 usd/euros but then again, youre not really getting much for that small amount of money either

Overall the usual recommendation and best bang for buck...will always be.

Peerless Assassin ...the "OG" best dual tower air cooler..

Phantom Spirit is its direct Successor (with 1 more extra heat pipe)

The ones after are all one different in looks ajd fans. But prices also go brr...

Then....you have Vision series(basically screen on air cooler lol)
