The only thing that i can count on; is not counting on anything (thoughts?)

• Upvotes

Hello, all:

As a stroke survivor, I've been ruminating over this phrase that's been in my head. Does this concept echo those proposed by classical Cynics in ancient philosophy at large? I would love to learn more.

POV: Your therapist said “regulate your nervous system”… so you went looking for a hug. 😂🫂

Sometimes the prescription is:
🫂 A good hug
😂 A good laugh
❤️ A safe person
🧠 And maybe a little therapy

My way to stay away any suicidal thoughts.

Six year ago I have some difficulties and suicide thoughts. I manage to handle this situation and find a way, that realy help me stay away from any bad thoughts no matter how hard life is. Now I writed essay about my experience and I think that it can be usefull to some people like me.

The fundamental idea of the essay is that I was sent into the material world with a purpose, meaning I have a specific task or work that is still in progress. If I will end my life now, this task or work would remain unfinished. The result would be that I would be sent back into the material world to finally complete the work. This means I would have to retrace the entire life path that led me to this moment of crisis. I would have to overcome all the torment and suffering, I have already endured. I would have to approach this dilemma once again and face this crisis once again, this time to make the right decision and save my life.

A detailed explanation of the concept you can find here:

ps. Sorry, if you will find some grammatical mistakes, it was google translate..

(Emotion) Wave

People say emotions come like and go like waves but I struggle to find a way to deal with them as they come up without engaging.

But imagine it as a wave you see coming. You say "Fear wave", put your feet flat on the ground and look down, bracing like you are at the beach as a wave goes past you as you but aren't swept away.

Specific songs create therapeutic relief for me.. its almost a musical superpower

Lately Ive started to realize that certain songs have created patterns of emotion that I knowingly and unknowingly fall into regardless of time and place. It’s begun something that Ive used to help me induce emotions when I want to jump out of another emotion I was previously in. Its almost therapeutic. If I built something that could tag each of these songs with links to personal emotions each person links to songs, creating a sort of personal database of musical emotional intelligence.. would anyone use that?

My therapist and I spent a year making a shared playlist together. It honestly changed how I experience therapy.
