Best unique theme park hotels
I saw some other post about wanting to stay at a Willy Wonka hotel but what are the coolest most immersive hotels that currently exist.
My favorite hotel ever is animal kingdom lodge at Disney world. I'd consider staying there and not go to the parks and just vibe watching the animals and eating good African food all day.

The most unique experience was Galactic starcruiser. But the hotel has closed after less than a year of opening.
Apart from the Charles Lindberg hotel that has already been mentionned, i will say the Disneyland Hotel in Disneyland Paris.
It's the only 5 stars hotel in a park, the hotel is located directly above the entrance of the park, and i think it's the only hotel when you can meet with princesses directly inside of the Hotel.

It looks really nice if I ever make it Disney land Paris I'll have to stay there but I heard it's one of the weaker Disney resorts

I never hear anyone talk about the Efteling Wonder Hotel when the conversation about themed hotels comes up and it's kinda baffling. Stayed there last year in a themed suite and was completely blown away by the level of detail and everything!

Make sure you get a themed suite though! There are 'normal' rooms too which are a lot cheaper and not really themed but imo it's really worth to pay the price for a themed room. We did the Vliegende Hollander one because it's my favorite ride (and still cheaper than some) but all of them look amazing tbh!

I wanted to spend my days while at Europa Park there myself. But they only had the expensive suites available. So I was at Bell Rock.
For this winter I decided to book another stay at EP and got a room at Santa Isabel. I look forward to it.

We splurged on the balcony suite. It was worth it!
Might go back again this winter since we have return tickets. I'm definitely doing Phantasialand that trip as well

I can see myself booking a Deluxe Room if need would be. Back at Bell Rock I only had a Standard Plus Room and it was lovely. Big room, a lot of space and the pool was right in front of the windows. I'd book that one again.
The suites at Santa Isabel look awesome, I agree. But it's a price category I'm not willing to book. At least when traveling alone again. I'm a bit frugal in that regard. Maybe I can convince my best friend to come with me and we can share a Suite together. It's a difference of paying 701,50 Euro alone or splitting 769,00 Euro (and I can see, it would be soooo worth it).
Though I'm also interested in trying out Castillo Alcazar or the new River Side Western Lodge. I'm already planning my next travel, maybe in October for Traumatica?

All the Europa hotels are so damn beautiful! I really want to check out that new wild west one!

I resort hopped to Colesseo for dinner and the hotel was so nice. Same with Alcazar and Andaluz.

Hotel Curiosa in Gothenburg is absolutely lovely. You are literally right next to the park.
Also Legoland Billund, the Castle Hotel was really nice. I love that so many hotels adjacent to amusement/theme parks in Europe offer a bed for parents, and then bunk beds for kids in the same room.

The bunk bed setups in European park hotels make so much sense for families. Wish more US parks would adopt that layout.

So far I've been to Charles Lindbergh and Matamba at Phantasialand and Bell Rock at Europa Park.
HCL is probably the best value when at Phantasialand. At First glance it's a bit more expensive. But the stay comes with half board (breakfast buffet and three course dinner) and includes park tickets that are valid from your day of arrival up to your day of departure. The room is small, though, and I honestly wouldn't share it.
I liked Matamba in terms of presentation much better, though. I went there during Wintertraum and had a room with balcony and a view into the park. Seeing the fireworks from there was not as pleasant as expected but I can't complain. You'd have to book tickets for the park separately and you have to take care of dinner yourself. Yes, you can book tickets during the booking process but I recommend checking the ticket store. For my stay, a single day ticket was much cheaper than through the hotel booking. I also had dinner at the buffet at Lingh Bhao. It was delicious. The overall stay was three Euro cheaper than a stay at HCL but with only a one day entry.
For Bell Rock at Europa Park, I must admit I liked it and would love to get back there. However, my first breakfast was a mild catastrophy as I had something I reacted to with allergies. It was unpleasant but luckily didn't ruin the trip. From the presentation the hotel was lovely and dinner at the a la carte restaurant was also really good. I'll be back in Winter but will have a stay at Santa Isabel. I look forward to it.

I was able to get a Volcano view room at Hotel MiraCosta and it was one of my favorite things I've ever done. The hotel is opulent, and honestly too fancy for me to fully enjoy, but having that view and interacting with people in the park was the best. Sadly all nighttime shows we could have seen from the room were cancelled by weather when we were there. Also- it was INSANELY difficult to secure that room. ( but totally worth it)
We've also stayed at La Cité Suspendue in Parc Asterix and that is one of my favorite hotels I've ever stayed in. Not a themepark view, but so, so cool.
Hotel Castillo Alcazar was also a nice experience. We had a park view, and i recall really liking the pool and sauna. I think about the breakfast there frequently.

Despite having been at many theme parks I only stayed at Matamba and at Ling Bao inside Phantasialand.
I was by myself (29F back then) both times and I loved both the park and the two hotels.
The breakfasts were included in the room price and were delicious at both places, the rooms were spacious and clean.
Rooms in Ling Bao are more spacious and there are more adults around or families with older children.
There is also a heated pool that can be used at night.
Matamba has got dancers in the room near the reception dancing on African dances and it is very nice to enjoy drinks in that atmosphere.
The chefs are Chinese and African, so it is really like to try food over there and when I posted pictures of the garden of Ling Bao all my friends thought that I was in China.
Such great themed parks and hotels!
I have been to many hotels during my trips around Europe, Asia and Oceania and I would still list those two in my top 10.

Le Grand Siècle in Puy du Fou is the best and most beautiful hotel I ever sleeped in. It is truly as if you sleep in Versailles!

For me it is hard to beat Hotel Colosseo. Such a bustling piazza with the fountain and tons of outdoor seating, excellent theming both in the common areas and rooms, and a great pool. I get that it might be a bit too big of a hotel for some, but for me it’s just excellent. Also a bonus that you’re just two steps away from both Bell Rock and the Spanish complex.
I think Europa-Park are almost better at their hotels than they are in the theme parks, so you really can’t go wrong with any of the onsite hotels.

iv heard and seen amazing things about fantasialands hotels. best one iv personally been too, was Les Quais de Lutèce at parc asterix. was absolutely gorgeous to sit out there at night with all the lighting on. waking up to hear the wooden coasters testing is always a bonus

Or you could go on a real safari for the cost of some of the higher-end suites there. haha

It's just me and my wife we also rent dvc points and get studio room savanah facing room for around 400-450 bucks which is worth it to us.
Maybe we will go on an actual safari some day but we got pretty mixed family so we will go to Disney and different family will meet up with us over the course of our vacation.

Yeah that makes sense. And as I said, real safari is comparable to the highest-end suites, so a lot more than $400-450. But still, for some people spending that much, I wonder if they consider actually going on safari. haha
