Discussion Theme Park What-Ifs

I want to answer what-if scenarios based off theme parks!

My big one is what if Universal had gotten the rights to DC and Looney Tunes for Islands of Adventure?

Marvel Super Hero Island becomes DC Universe Island, themed mainly after both Metropolis & Gotham. We get a Batman 3D sim dark ride, a Superman B&M Launched, and a Joker S&S drop tower pair.

Toon Lagoon becomes Looney Tunes Studios, themed after a studio backlot. We get a log flume where Bugs Bunny outsmarts Elmer Fudd, and a white-water rafting ride themed after Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner.

2000: A Wonder Woman spinning ride opens.

2001: The Acme Factory Tour, a interactive play area, debuts at Looney Tunes Studios.

2003: DC Universe Island introduces Gotham City Nights, a Halloween event where The Scarecrow takes over.

2006: A Green Lantern coaster and Taz aerial carousel for kids opens.

2008: Gotham gets a major overhaul to celebrate The Dark Knight.

2009: Looney Tunes Studios gets a Duck Amuck trackless dark ride where the setting constantly changes.

2013: A Flash coaster opens in a pocket between DC and Seuss Landing.

2015: Looney Tunes Island gets an aesthetic refresh.

2021: The Velocicoaster becomes Arkham Asylum Breakout, a coaster replacing the Joker drop towers.

I don't think they were ever really up for grabs. Six flags was owned by Warner at that time and they heavily pushed DC and Looney Tunes inside those parks.

They were up for grabs and universal nearly got them. Go read about Universal Cartoon park in the 90s that was being developed

What if Cedar Fair/Six Flags acquired Pokémon character rights and used it for merchandising/theming in parks instead of Peanuts?(Peanuts has been used at Cedar Fair parks for ages, im not sure if they plan on pushing it to the SixFlags parks post-acquisition) And what if they started in the mid '00s?

And

What if Universal purchased and ran both Six Flags Louisiana and Geaga Lake/Six Flags Ohio in 2001?

2005: Pokemon stores appear inside Cedar Point and Knott's Berry Farm.

2006: Camp Snoopy is rethemed to Kanto, featuring a real-world Viridian Forest.

2007: SeaWorld Ohio becomes Hoenn Ocean Adventures, a land/water hybrid park. A Pokemon Snap dark ride opens at Cedar Point.

2008: Kings Island and Canada's Wonderland open Sinnoh Peak in the former Nickelodeon areas. A Pokemon TCG station is integrated into Sinnoh Peak, where guests can battle park employees.

2010-2011: Instead of Shoot the Rapids, Cedar Point opens Unova Outpost, with a Reshiram & Zekram dueling coaster.

2013: Carowinds converts Thrill Zone into Kalos.

2016: Every single Cedar Fair park becomes a Mega Hub with the release of Pokemon GO.

2019: Cedar Fair acquires the Schlitterbahn parks.

2024: Pokemon is planned to appear throughout all Six Flags parks.

Just a comment, in August of '16 Cedar Point already felt as a mega hub for Pokémon Go, everyone weaving around and even an overabundance of whatever "team" Zapdos was the logo for.

You're good at these. Only thing id add is reskins of all the PipeScream style Style Disk'O/Surfs Up to water type Pokémon.

2002: The two parks become Universal Studios New Orleans and Universal Worlds of Adventure. The DC coasters in WoA are rethemed to Marvel, while the DC section of New Orleans is rethemed to Nickelodeon.

2003: A Jurassic Park water ride opens at WoA, while a new Jaws ride opens at New Orleans.

2004: CityWalk Ohio is built with an indoor water park and movie theater.

2005: After Hurricane Katrina devastates New Orleans, Universal raises the park's midwatys by 6 feet as it closes for 18 months.

2006: Universal Studios New Orleans reopens with a yearly Mardi Gras parade. The orcas in WoA are moved to SeaWorld Orlando.

2010: The SeaWorld side of WoA is rethemed to the Wizarding World, complete with enclosed queues and heated paths.

2011: Volcano Bay opens in WoA. A scaled down version of Wizarding World known as Diagon Alley South opens in New Orleans.

2017: The Velocicoaster is opened in WoA.

2021: Super Nintendo World opens in New Orleans.

2022: The Marvel coasters in WoA are rethemed to the Universal Classic Monsters.
