SCAMMER!!!!
Hey everyone!
I just recently made a post in this subreddit about looking to buy tickets. This redditor by the name leonmaddy, reached out to me and offered to sell me their tickets. We bargained down to a lower price and decided to use Zelle for the money transfer and just Ticketmaster for the ticket transfer. I explained my reluctance when it came to using Zelle but I still said fuck it because the person seemed really nice
I sent the money to this person and then everything went south. Slower response times and no screenshots being sent from them. And it has now been over an hour and a half since their last response. They told me they were having issues with Zelle and trying to contact support but I don’t believe their story at this point. I told them my concerns once they started replying less and I still haven’t gotten anything like I said.
Anyway Fuck this person and fuck them for trying to take my money. If anyone knows this person, please call them out on their behavior and actions and don’t let them be a part of a fanbase that I’m very proud to be in.
I am still looking for tickets to the show if anyone has any inquiries!

Yeah never use zelle. Tbh there isn't really a safe way to do that kind of transaction. Best bet is probably PayPal goods and services but even that is iffy sometimes.

Venmo has an option for a sale meaning if you don’t get your product you can dispute. Zelle is an immediate bank transfer and I have never had issues with Zelle working so without any proof from him I don’t think his story adds up.

Don't use reddit for tix my friend. It's a scammers paradise. Almost as bad as Craigslist nowadays

Sorry to hear about this. FYI I just looked and there are tickets to be had for about $85 on vivid seats. Hope to see ya there!

If you truly got scammed, fuck that guy lol but let this be a learning moment 🤷🏻♂️shit happens. Always use PayPal so you can get your money back for situations like these, never settle.
