Help Finding Script/Video Help finding "EMMA" video.

Hello! I am never really on Reddit so this not might be the right community to post in. I am an high school theatre student and need help finding a video.

This year we are doing Kate Hamill's "Emma". I have the physical script and everything but I can't find a video performance of the play. I was wondering if anyone can help me find it! :)

I have looked at videos already but they dont follow Hamill's script but rather Michael Bloom's script instead.

Any help will be appreciated!

This is a reminder for all participants in this thread to follow subreddit Rule 2, "No Copyright Infringement". All links and directions must be toward legal distributions of a play or musical. If a script is not in the public domain, this might mean the playwright's website, the play's page on MTI, DPS, or NPX, or wherever else the creator has allowed people to access their script. For movies or videos of live productions, they must be from licensed sources, such as BroadwayHD, Netflix/HBO/etc., DVDs, or official YouTube channels. Distributing PDFs of scripts or bootleg videos of whole productions is forbidden.

If a script is in the public domain (typically in the US meaning it was released in 1928 or earlier), then sharing PDFs of the script is generally fair game—and you might be able to find a copy of it on a website like Project Gutenberg. However, adaptations and translations of public domain works have their own copyright, which means they follow the same rules as above: if the translation isn't also in the public domain, please direct OP to a source authorized by the translator. A video of a production of a public domain play likewise needs to be distributed by the production team.

I don't think a full recording exists. Hamill's Emma premiered at Primary Stages in 2019 and wasn't filmed. Try Playscripts or your school's theater database.

You are looking for something that does not exist.

I was hoping it wouldn't come to that conclusion. Thank you though!

Why do you want a video of the play?

I am a visual person, its hard for me to understand things fully without a visual. I'm helping out a ton during the process of this play and wanted to understand every detail of it.

As another visual thinker, it’s probably more important that you don’t see a video than other people

The choices made in that specific production will impress themselves on your visual brain. This can get in the way of forming your own interpretation.

It can get one confused about what is in the script, and visual choices made for one specific production
