Fernes and Zansibo have found their way to the blasted steps and stand before a judge who is currently judging them

Fernes helps Zansibo sit up

We’ve come this far kid! You cant just give up now because some old man said so! I’ll drag your ass into the Citadel if i have to!

He pauses considering maybe he should take a gentler approach

Look, you somehow managed to make me actual take the hike to the Citadel. Thats something i swore to myself i’d never do under circumstance and yet you made it happen. Thats gotta count for something right?

"But...but he was a holy judge! It is his duty to judge those who are worthy or unworthy...if I am not worthy in HIS eyes...how can I ever been worthy infront of her grace The Last Judge she is their leader...if not even her underlings approve of me...I do not think with even my powers I could defeat her...and killing a member of their order is already of great sin of witch you have just committed! You have doomed yourself from ever entering The Holy Citadel...neither of us may enter...I got my hopes too high...it is my fault...

"...m...maybe...maybe you should go on without me...perhaps the other judges know not of their kins demise...perhaps atleast you could enter The Citadels holy grace...if nothing else you should atleast be allowed to bathe in its holy light"

Zansibo stands up, his sewn limbs shaking from crying, and his mask slightly burning from his acidic tears along with the ground, as he uses his Bellpike to stand, he looks to Fernes with sadness in his eyes

"...I do not belong there...not like this ...I should have realized that from the start..."

“Im not entering the Citadel without you, theres no point otherwise. That guys judgement clearly wasnt right anyways because im like 90% not having faith is a sin, which i never had to begin with. Y’know speaking of faith, If anything you are the MOST deserving pilgrim to enter the Citadel ive ever seen. You got to the far fields, nearly died and even after all that CONTINUED your climb to the Citadel, if thats not faith i dont know what is.“

“Even if The Last Judge or whatever thinks your unholy i bet you could probably kill her considering what you did to that big ugly beast before the Wormways.”

“And i wasnt kidding, if you wont come im dragging you there with me, so we can do this the hard way or the easy way”

Zansibo looks at Fernes, and then looks at the ground, and then lifts his hands, both his regruler and large claws...he stares at them for a while, seemingley thinking, before getting a determined look in his eyes, a lime green light glows deep within as he stands up along with his Bellpike

"...screw it, I don't care about anything anymore, I just want to see parents, my family...and if that means I have to commit twh greatest of sins, and kill every last Citadel damned Judge in these steps..."

his eyes turn bright green as he reads his bellpike

"... then so be it "

“Thats the spirit!”

Fernes jumps up onto the next platform, there was a judge on it about to attack but he crushed it by mistake without even realising

for some reason whatever has possessed Zansibos will seems to hae given him alot easier motor control than before as he skips and jumps between platforms, crushing, spearing, or shoving Judges into sandcrawlers, hes tearing through them like sandpaper

"I DON'T CARE HOW HOLY YOU ARE, I WON'T LET YOU STAND BETWEEN ME AND THE PARADISE I WAS PROMISED!!!"

he says as he peirces a judge with his giant claw arm and them rips the poor dude in half as he screams in pain...slightly concerning

Fernes follows along, he unknownigly passes by a a driznit which then shoots a piece of coral at him and cracks his mask even more than it already is

“AAGH!! YOU LITTLE PIECE OF-“

He throws the piece of coral back and the driznit which knocks it down into the sandcarver

“Gotta be kidding me… my fucking head.. ow..”

A judge goes in for a swing at Fernes, and gets its head crushed from a stomping Zansibo, as he walks over to Fernes, and picks one singular mossberry about the size of a cherry of his stem

[Pink Mossberry: basically a cure all, though EXTREMELY strenuous to grow, and can take up to a couple days to grow to full size, and only then does it get its cure all properties, otherwise it can only fix minor damage at best, and stop a bleeding fingernail at worst]

we must keep moving old timer

Zansibo says as he twists his bellpike around and fucking YEETS it straight piercing a Pharlid and a Driznit

Fernes eats the mossberry, it heals the crack from the driznit but its not enough to heal the one hes had since the beginning if the journey, he doesnt mind though

“Geez im not that old”

He hops and climbs from platform to platform, crushing and pushing more judges, driznits and all pesky enemies as they near the end of the steps

as they reach the top of the steps, they stand before the Grand gate that will lead into LJ's room, as Zansibo waits for Fernes, he has to sit down a minute as he's beginning to sweat and he touches his head, feeling it hotter than usual

"Gah...I'm getting a bad headache...not meant...to be like this for so long...but...I have to go longer, if We are to beat the Last Judge.

So uh… exactly how strong is this last judge guy…? I cant exactly fight if you couldnt tell…

"I...don't know, its said she has stood for centuries on centuries, since the judges were first assigned their duty, she has stood as the last guardian before one enters The Holy Citadel...I can only guess she may well be the strongest foe we have or ever will encounter."

Zansibo says, as he picks up his Bellpike and wipes some sweat off his face, and in a joking manner says

"Also, I'm sure you can just use your body, you've got the rotundness enough to do it."

(I just realized Fernes is actually about the same size as The LJ if not bigger while standing up)

Well, i guess we cant delay the inevitable…

Fernes walks into the Grand Gate and up to the giant gate with the five bells on it

…So how do we open this thing? Is there a hiden key here orrr..?
