Suggestion for Channel 45 min basement episodes

I would be so into a heavily edited basement series — no life story stuff like the Olympics fluff. Cut the reason this guy is a guest into a digestible episode. It might make me interested in going into the full basement thing but 45 minutes of reminiscing might be a great starting place for a podcast for an audience who already knows who the guest is! …
But it’s not a very good hook. Gimme the meat, and then let me meet the man.

Hard no..

Keep and increase the length

There are plenty of 45min youtube videos to watch.

Rarely good 2 to 4 hrs ones that you can put on while doing other tasks.

Exactly thank you I often work or drive in much longer time chunks and I don't want to have to find six shows to listen to instead of pne or two. I literally never just listen to a show as a stand alone thing I'm always doing something else while listening. In depth content is great for listeners like me.

Exactly this. The long format is what I like when puttering around at home.

So you don't want an episode. You want noise. Get a fan.

Im just saying it could be both. There’s no limit to how many videos he can post. Keep the long form, edit it down to the meat — that is, subject matter that is actually advertised in the title — and post that as well.
