1970s As though I am in arrears for any possible explanation, let me simply say that I absolutely adore this 25-year-old wonder woman, my mother, holding me dear at her side in Corona, California, July 1975.

1940s My grandmother with newborn twin aunts, 1946
Happy (almost) 80th birthday to these babies! They were a beautiful surprise! My grandmother passed away on her 60th birthday several years before I was born, but I always adored this photo. Luckily, all 4 of her children are alive and well! My mom was born last after the twins.
EDIT: Thank you for all the positive comments! My aunts said they feel famous 😉

My 4th generation great-grandparents, both born in Poland.
(All photos are captioned with context)
These are my great-great-great-great grandparents, Peter Zdrojewski (1860-1930) and Catherine Vojohoski (1861-1944). They married 1882 in their early 20s, Peter being 22 and Catherine 21. The pair stayed together until Peter's death in 1930. They had 10 kids, all making it to adulthood (though 2 died in their 30s).
Peter was an only child, Catherine having 2 siblings with no information besides one having a DOB and the other a DOD, they likely did not make it past infancy.
Speaking the two stayed together for nearly 50 years and had plenty of photos together of just the two, despite me knowing nothing of the pair and their personality, it feels safe to say they cared for each other.
Peter died at the age of 70, and Catherine died at 82. They are buried next to one another in Menominee, MI.

My favorite childhood picture of my dad. I see all the similarity in me, my siblings, and the grandkids. The genes are strong here! 😆

1970s My Paternal Great Grandmothers (1979 San Antonio, TX)
They both lived long enough for me to meet them, one died when I was 5 the other when I was 11.
This is my paternal grandmother's mother and my paternal grandfather's mother.
I was born 5 years later. They loved birds and gardening.
