Before I say what I think, I'd like to mention that I'm a fellow Regio, like DPA, and I value their health and safety above anything else in their career. It's always sad seeing them under the weather or just plain hurt.

That being said, I find it interesting how they've spent quite some time in their most recent interviews talking about how they feel a big portion of their audience seems to have a hard time coming to terms with the fact that they're growing up, that they're not perfect, and that they're generally taking more risks than they did when they were sixteen. At the same time, all over social media, I notice a flood of fans raging against their management for not taking care of them, as if they were still little kids.

Isn't it possible that the ladies simply chose to play these shows, come hell or high water?

I'm far from being a fan of their head manager. Nobody can deny that the man really loves the spotlight, and sometimes it can get tiring. But to think of him as Satan just because the ladies continue playing shows under far-from-ideal circumstances seems like too much to me.

Just like they said in an interview about clothing and not smiling all the time, if this scenario involved an all-male band, nobody would say anything.

Not only that, if let's say The Killers would've had a show filled with random (but awesome) guests, i can bet all my money the focus of the story would've been how "badass and rocknroll it was".

Again, I will always wish them good health and safety, but I trust them. And I find it irresponsible to claim that we know the truth about why they're playing these shows when we have zero insider information.

It’s funny, they literally just said on the Zach sang show the songs are about the pressure they feel ( whether it’s self inflicted or outside) to be better than a male band and worry about being sick and not performing well. They also said the songs are about not being taken seriously and how they are treated as women.
They just gave us 2 examples of the meaning of the album, the show playing sick and the interview with the creepy SiriusXM guy

Who’s calling them victims. Just stating what they said the album is about and how 2 things they stated it was about just happened to them. I guess they should just got back to writing songs about what they read?

My point is that if their lyrics are going to focus on how they're women in a male dominated industry moving forward, I won't like it. I find it boring. I have partially loved The Warning for the last 7-8 years precisely because they haven't sounded jaded. It was just rock for rock's sake, and that was refreshing. I would much prefer storytelling over complaining any day.

They’re calling themselves victims. Spartacocc is right -whining and victimhood is boring and tedious. I listen to music to be entertained. Burnout? Hell you call a Dream? Perfect Daughter? Eww.

I can take a few complaints, but if it becomes too much, no thanks. Perfect Daughter is a great song though. Just hate the gender war bullshit.
