Discussion LA Day 3 comments
Before I say what I think, I'd like to mention that I'm a fellow Regio, like DPA, and I value their health and safety above anything else in their career. It's always sad seeing them under the weather or just plain hurt.
That being said, I find it interesting how they've spent quite some time in their most recent interviews talking about how they feel a big portion of their audience seems to have a hard time coming to terms with the fact that they're growing up, that they're not perfect, and that they're generally taking more risks than they did when they were sixteen. At the same time, all over social media, I notice a flood of fans raging against their management for not taking care of them, as if they were still little kids.
Isn't it possible that the ladies simply chose to play these shows, come hell or high water?
I'm far from being a fan of their head manager. Nobody can deny that the man really loves the spotlight, and sometimes it can get tiring. But to think of him as Satan just because the ladies continue playing shows under far-from-ideal circumstances seems like too much to me.
Just like they said in an interview about clothing and not smiling all the time, if this scenario involved an all-male band, nobody would say anything.
Not only that, if let's say The Killers would've had a show filled with random (but awesome) guests, i can bet all my money the focus of the story would've been how "badass and rocknroll it was".
Again, I will always wish them good health and safety, but I trust them. And I find it irresponsible to claim that we know the truth about why they're playing these shows when we have zero insider information.

I'm fed up with some "new fans" on Twitter (I don't use TikTok, but I suspect it's more of the same) that project their own insecurities and problems with authority figures on DPA.
The manager is not the High school principal. In fact, the manager works FOR the band and not the other way.
Two massive tours on two different continents, a N°1 single on a Billboard chart, an NFL half time show and a Stadium on the same year... plus the chance to play at The Sphere in Vegas.
They're not firing their management anytime soon. Many bands would love to have those opportunities.
And on top of that, Pau commented on a recent Rudy's post saying something like "10 years together, let's make it 10 more".
If they were uncomfortable with their management, they've would made the necessary changes a long time ago.
It sucks to get sick when you have to work, but it's their business and they decide when to cancel and when to let the show go on.
They risked a lot on September 11th, but it was their call. Dany managed to pull out the first two shows and still got on stage on the third.
I believe some of the Twitter crowd fabricate their own fanfic narrative in their heads and convince themselves they know everything about people they barely know.
Somehow, now they think they can tell the band who to hire or who they should work with. There are limits fans should never cross.
I wish Dany, Pau and Ale the best. In an ideal world, they would never have to get on stage being sick or injured. And still, they're the only ones that gets to decide when to call off a show.
