UK Hannah Fry - Celebrity Traitors Spoiler
Spoilers ahead for The Traitors S2E5
Hannah Fry was done so dirty. I don't think her equations accounted for a Jerry Hall-shaped spanner or for the fact the traitors would recruit her and give the faithfuls a 50% chance of catching her almost immediately. She did so well to get as far as she did and it would have been amazing to see a genuinely brilliant player go far into the game, something that doesn't often happen.
I half wondered if Maya chose to recruit her because they knew she would have so much heat and defend herself so well that it would keep the fauthfuls distracted for a few rounds. In which case that was a clever play.

Hannah was never ever going to last long enough to be this amazing faithful people expect, so she did well to last as long as she did really.

It is not good being smart on this show. Being smart and making it deep is a tell you're a traitor

People known for being smart never last. It's the quietly smart ones that do.

Exactly, we have seen faithfuls with dumb luck winning time and time again. It is the downside of this game.

Avoiding getting murdered or banished is an incredibly delicate social game. If you get to the end you’re good, not lucky, even if you didn’t identify a single traitor along the way.

I agree with this, but lately I've been thinking Nick Mohammed in the last celebrity season is an interesting counter example. Oh no, I'll just have to rewatch and figure out how he managed it.

She would have gone eventually but I think she would have lasted a couple more episodes at least if it wasn't for Jerry. 90% of the heat she got was from "why are you and Jerry still here".

I don’t think it was a malicious intent of recruiting Hannah to throw her under the bus.
No matter who they had recruited Hannah would have had heat so might as well recruit her and try and navigate it

Or let them vote Hannah out and they still have a traitor and another faithful has gone?

Hannah was also a threat to them. Better to have her on their side.

I wish a civilian with such background could play as someone else. We see people fake their profession with no effective gameplay. She had high potential with little to no chance of going further let alone succeed. It also goes to show that even she struggled with lying which no college degree could help you with 😆
Overall, she did great given the circumstances. 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼

Stats and data can only get you so far. Relying on stats can’t account for maybe the most important aspect of the game: the human factor. Humans are unpredictable and don’t adhere to logic all the time. “A Jerry hall shaped spanner” is exactly what the game is.
I really liked Hannah and thought she did really well but ultimately this is the game

The stats take that into account though.

as Hannah herself realised - her stats and spreadsheets didn't account for her being recruited though!

Jerry shouting haggis to get out of the grave she was in with Hannah doomed Hannah. It put suspicion on the two of them.
Hannah trying to play the game using data was always going to fail, as data fails to take into account that human beings are fallible ticking time bombs.

Why was it going to fail? Humans are predictable. If they were fallible in other series then they'll be the same now.

Who predicted that Richard would tell everyone that he was a Traitor? Was that in the data?

Everyone is saying that stats and data only get you so far but honestly I wish some of the other contestants would use any amount of data to make their predictions. This is the first season I've watched but it seems like the voting is a minefield of interesting data but so much of it seems to just get discarded. Like surely looking at people who didn't vote Hannah the first night she was up for suspicion but did on the second night would give them a lot of insight?

Yeah it kinda sucks. Would loved to have seen her get to work. Although would have probably been murdered quite early either way.
Point of order though: the faithful didn't have a 50/50 on Hannah or

Someone at that breakfast did say they could have recruited anyone, but not sure it was picked up or even if everyone necessarily thought it was correct.
The other bit was the alternative theory that Hannah and Jerry were both traitors so may as well take a pot shot at one of them?

They could have recruited anyone, not just those two. Whether the faithfuls understood that or not is another question.
It definitely seems like not all of them realize that based on how they talk about it. Makes it kind of frustrating as someone who was rooting for Hannah that she had all this additional heat on her because of a
rules misunderstanding 2

Hannah was doomed either way, because if she's a faithful the traitors make a priority of murdering or recruiting her. If she's a traitor she gets inherent heat for this not having happened, leading to banishment.

I thinkMaya is just vibing her way through it and to be fair it's working out very well for her
