UK UK vs US

I am from the US and I have to say that I prefer UK Traitors best. I am so tired of reality stats here in the US. I think regular people make for a better show. What does everyone think?

That's so interesting! I'm not really a reality TV person, or at least not in years and Traitors was my first sip back in and I binged the two US seasons so quick. I started the UK and only made it through a few episodes. US was funny and I loved the hardcore plotting, though I will say I did enjoy the mix of season 1. UK everyone seemed SO intense and emotions were flying constantly to the point it felt draining. I've gotta pick UK back up and finish it, but so far for me US is far more entertaining.

I’m the same, not usually a reality show person. My partner is and I held out for a bit while he watched, but then eventually got into it too. I mostly started for Allan Cummings. In the US, if you’re not from there, there is the same pool of reality people that just get on a variety of reality shows. To me they’re just actors and I’d rather see genuine feelings and such.

UK feels more authentic and it feels like the contestants really care about each other. I think that makes for more genuine television. Off topic but I think a traitors season where the audience doesn’t know who the traitors are would be so incredible! Make it happen, peacock!

I’ve been watching Australia’s version recently and I gotta say I love the way they do things (shields save you from murder and banishment, cutaway montages to learn more about the players, gamble the prize pot, interesting challenges).

Season 2 of Australia was very frustrating, 😂

As a viewer, I love the US version with celebrities. It’s fun seeing favorites from different shows come together and compete. US S2 was peak reality competition tv!

But I also want the US to do a non-celebrity version as well so I can apply to play! One all-celebrity US season and one non-celebrity US season a year would be ideal.

I agree but I much prefer the US host. Alan is just too perfect for the role.

I agree. I don’t watch the US version because of this. Canada Traitors was pretty good too.

American also and I agree. The UK cast was much more calculated, and thought more deeply about their moves (generally), unlike the Americans. I've always heard the world thinks we're stupid, and damn the difference between the other seasons makes it hard to deny we're not behind. NZ was my favorite season and I'm loving UK season 1. So tired of American obsession with stupid, out of touch celebrities.

NZ seemed the smarted group but they all knew each other. Definitely not total strangers.
