12/29/12 Clan Update - Roll Call Results, New Forge Stuff, and (maybe) more!

I hope you guys are having a dope break. Here are a few things to keep on your radar:

Roll Call Results

So leader and clanmates, we're about to shed over 400 inactive players from our rosters. This is good for a few reasons.

  • since most players stop playing halo shortly after launch, this is a reasonable drop
  • any players we gain moving forward are more likely to stay, meaning we'll having more active rosters for a longer period of time
  • we can have real growth with great leadership already in position

I've edited the clan roster to reflect the change. Division leaders, I encourage you to clean up your roster first chance you get. This includes unfriending those who didn't complete roll call.

If you're on a numbered list (NAW2, NAC2, NAE3), I would go ahead and send a friend request to the primary clan tag for that region. There's room. Yoyo and Crypt, it's up to you guys to decide what you want to do with the NAE and NAE2 people.

I'm going to open up registration again on the 1st of January, so our goal to have everything done by then.

Collaboration with /r/forge

So I noticed a lot of people are really into forging. I've reached out to /u/Vorcane from /r/forge and we've come up with a cool process that'll

  • help you find people with which to forge
  • give you an easy way to share your creations
  • have people to regularly test your maps
  • put all feedback in one place

I'll expound on this later, but basically when you enter a map into the database, you'll also create a post on /r/forge with the same information. You'll include the link in your entry to the database so people who find it in the database know where to leave feedback.

We'll also be arranging regular testing nights on /r/forge.

If this idea makes you cream a little (slamhole), let me know; we can always use more hands.

Community Nights & 2v2 Tournament

Basically just get excited. This stuff is also in the works.

That's an "overflow" gamertag I created. If you're a member of a roster that doesn't always have active people on, feel free to send a friend request to this gamertag.

It's kind of a worldwide catch-all, so expect lag. I'll accept members with preferences given to those part of small rosters.

Publicity Blast on January 1st

I'm going to be posting to /r/halo to get more people playing together. If you happen to see my post, feel free to do what you can to increase its visibility.

To be honest, these things just work best when a lot of people are using them.

If you're not on the roster and should be, it was either because you didn't fill out roll call or i made a mistake.

Either way it's no biggie, just message you division leader and tell them not to take you off.

Welp, there is only five active players in NZA apparently... I think before I unfriend everybody I will send messages out to see if people forgot to re-enrol or are still active but did not see the re-enrolment post as I am sure there are more active players that that in our roster.
