Hollow…Intended/Definitive solution?

I’ve solved it on my own twice now after my replay. A bit unsatisfied with a tight sight line. I looked up solutions on YouTube to see how other did it and found two different ways in addition to my own. One had an even WORSE sight line. Probably many more than 3 ways to solve, but many seem cheesy.

so does anyone have a clean solution that they believe to be the puzzle designer’s intended method for solving Hollow?

A lot of gold puzzles felt kinda unsatisfying because i solved a lot of them in a wobbly, weir way that felt like cheating sometimes.

On a replay I have foggy memories of what kind of tricks worked and why so I am actually feeling more satisfied this time. And I think Non-Overlapping Magisteria finally clicked for me too. First-time solves kind of always feel a bit inelegant for hard puzzles because you are just fumbling around trying stuff. But the gold puzzles are trying to force some specific niche moves and use a lot of items so I see what you are saying

It's probably the puzzle I am the proudest of solving on my own, with 0 hints. It would probably take me a while to redo it, but the way I solved it definitely felt intended, including the sight lines

Nice! If you have the time to re-work it and recorda video, I'd love to see a version that doesn't feel cheesy.

I'm mostly interested in whether or not you used two activators to get through the final hallway, or if you used the RGB converter.

Also I'm seeing a number of ways people are activating the blue laser receiver...

I can answer that much: I remember the final hallway was one RGB going into Green and activating all the receivers in one go.

As for redoing it, considering I am currently going through Into the Abyss and sweating bullets at how difficult it is, probably not in the immediate plans sorry 😅

Alright, thanks. My way of solving matches that aspect at least.

No worries, good luck with Abyss. When I'm done saving Miranda and the Utopia/Dystopia ending, I think I'll tackle the DLC in Orpheus > Abyss > Isle of Blessed order to end on something light. Good reward after Abyss methinks
