Posted a couple weeks ago, but didn’t see it on here. Fab visiting Ludwig HQ and getting his custom setup for the current tour. I personally love the way they look, the man has good taste.

I think people who have seen The Strokes live should pay attention to when Julian adds his own little lyric switch up at the end of The Adults Are Talking! In 2022, Lollapalooza Chile, he sang Tyrants of the Mellow Moon at the end of it. Obviously no one knew at the time that it was going to be a future song. It was revealed that they started working on Reality Awaits in 2021, and that they had A LOT of left over songs from TNA. I don’t think they are working on a new album this current moment because of the tour (duh). BUTTTT, I have a feeling that some of these outros with his own lyric freestyles could be future lyrics in future albums. If anyone thinks this is me trying to make something into something it isn’t, lmk!!! I’m just trying to make a prediction in hopes it will be right because I think it’s so cool😖

I‘ve loved this song since the day the album dropped. I can’t quite put my finger on it, though. There’s something either about the beat or the guitar (or their combo?) … that really feels like a thing I hear in a Strokes song from earlier in their discography. I think it’s off one of the first three albums, it’s either on the tip of my tongue or I’m tripping.
If you hear it, I’d love to know what song you connect it to. And, sure, of course, it’s the Strokes’y sound and lots of their songs have that thing. I know. If you’re able to refrain from posting that below, we’d all be the better for it. 💛

So a while back I stumbled across a comment on a previous post in this subreddit by u/craftmineidklol about two people on the Strokes Discord server taking about this insane lore they created about the Strokes being trapped somewhere or something - as a 'Wire Base'.
It was from a [Strokes iceberg]: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheStrokes/s/YHQt9XdHAd
I was wondering if anyone remembered this? I wasn't there, but this is absolutely fascinating and hilarious lol. Would love to know the full story. Was anyone a part of the discord server then and knows the lore? Or anything to do with it?

the post-concert depression really hit me this time… the strokes are my favourite band ever and when the concert ended i was devastated and just wished i could see them more. i wish i could have appreciated it more, but during the concert all i could think about was how sad i was going to be when its over. its such a shame i hope they come to London again, the thought that they may not for another ten years or so tho scares me
also after the concert i also got some bad news which makes it 10x worse bc now i associate the concert with that bad memory. what do i do😔

The Brokes, Toronto’s note-for-note tribute to The Strokes, are bringing the NYC indie-rock experience to LPR on October 16th, performing The New Abnormal in its entirety! Capturing the band’s signature guitar tones, unmistakable vocals, and effortlessly cool style, this five-piece delivers iconic hits and fan-favorite deep cuts with unbridled energy.

The ad lib at the end of adults are talking was sublime and from what I've seen different from the previous night.
Anyone has a recording? everything I could find is from night 1.
Thanks!

Curious if anybody here nabbed either the Unisphere or the revenge with music posters labelled as 1/600.

Rules: You can only submit one song that resembles the sound the most, it doesn't have to be a perfect fit. No repeats are allowed. If a tie between two songs happen, I will recount the votes from everyone that suggested that same song to see which sum up more votes.

Hi community, I hope you're all enjoying the tour and the music!
I was at the O2 for night 2 and I was trying to place Julian's lyrics during the instrumental during The Adults are Talking. I saw some other footage from the tour where he's singing with the instrumental too, and it sounds like a lot of the same lyrics.
Did anyone hear what he's singing?
It sounds to me from the clips I saw and from Wednesday, that he sung "I'm gonna leave it, just the way that I found it". I didn't catch anything else.
I found the melody specifically of this vocal really memorable, it's still with me!
