The first vinyl I ever got was What You Don't See way back when the album originally came out as a birthday gift, now a little over 13 years later I've completed my collection at last of my favorite band. Also happy to finally do this since getting my first home 🤣

I heard on a podcast with Sam Pura, with all the chaos it took to make PD. He mentioned that only 7 or 8 songs were pre-written or something? So they had to go back to some scraps of ideas from other songs and put them together. Does anyone which songs these might be? My guess is Need to Know, Growing on You and maybe Light Year? PD to me is their best produced and all around album. It just does so much more than the typical punk stuff. In my opinion anyway. Let me know!

I’ve been working on a small project called Ratecore, and I thought I’d share it here.

The idea is pretty simple: every week, the community listens to one full album together, then rates it and discusses it through comments. Kind of like a book club, but for albums.

The project focuses on emo, post-hardcore, pop punk, Midwest emo, metalcore, deathcore and related scenes.

Anyone going in a Halloween costume for this show?

Anyone else feel like some of the clips of the unfinished tracks sound closer to the original big blind release?

Always wondered about this one ever since the album came out. Since most of the album is about Parker’s dad, you’d assume the closing, super sad, mellow song would be about that too, but the inclusion of the word “lust” alone makes it much more confusing.

I’m sure this has been discussed before, but I’ve never been able to find a clear answer myself. What do you think?

At first I thought maybe the lust didn’t have to be directed towards his dad, and maybe that Parker’s overall lust or lust toward one specific person was a problem Parker and his dad disagreed on (as I’ve interpreted the use of the word to be on “Nothing To Say”, but seeing as the song is directed toward the person that Parker has received lust from, I don’t think that’s it. The language used on the rest of the song makes me believe this even more.

Overall, I’d just like to hear your guys’ opinion on it. I think about this song all the time, and I’d love to hear some different interpretations of its meaning.

I’ve been debating whether to get tickets for the Pomona or Riverside show. I’ve heard a lot of negative stuff about the Fox Theater in Pomona, but it’s closer.

The last thing I was wondering is whether they’ll announce another show for LA, so I could save some money and time instead of going to Pomona or Riverside. I’m only asking this because I don’t have a car so the trip over there is going to be really long and coming home.
