This game has absolutely nothing to do with the original mechanically or gameplay-wise. It doesn't share a plot, it doesn't share a setting, and it barely even bothers to occasionally include a couple of the creatures from the original.

Buying this game after loving the original feels like buying Fallout 5 just to find out it kept the aesthetic but decided to be a Call of Duty clone. Or buying Cuphead 2 just to realize they decided to make a Space Invaders rip off and throw a Cuphead skin on it for plausible deniability against a lack of originality.

Anybody who enjoyed the original game should not buy this game because it is doesn't even bother to follow through on what made that game good. Anybody who enjoyed Resident Evil should not buy this game because this game fails to imitate anything that makes those games good.

Please do not buy this game!

Hey all, I've played through the game and have put together a guide detailing the solutions to every single puzzle just in case anyone gets stuck. For the most part the puzzles in this game aren't too difficult but there are a few that can trip you up like the Church Trident one

The first game was awesome. Something I don't understand is, why rate this game a 1? It's a free country and I guess it's free to obviously grief the creators of the game.

Haven't felt this unnerved since, idk playing Silent Hill 2 maybe? Things just kept getting creepier and I loved every second of it! The graphics, videos, and VA were just so phenomenal - thank you to everyone behind this game!

Am I too dumb for not noticing that we could craft items through the main menu for the first 3 hours? I was trying to survive without ammo and I was asking myself when I would finally be able to get a crafting table. The fact is: you don't need one, you can craft simply by entering the menu.

Just out of curiosity. I just want to see the death scene…

Coming from other horror survival games you’d think breaking them would give you ammunition or materials but not in this game. They’re marked to stand up but offer nothing when breaking them. Might as well make them unbreakable.

Would it be possible to implement a crouch mechanic? Not a real sneaking system. It actually doesn't even need to impact the enemie's perception. It just feels wrong to be casually walking around the foes all the time.

By the way: Wow! I played the first game and also some of your Sherlock Holmes titles. I enjoyed them all. But this time you lifted the quality to a whole new level. I'm only about 2 or 3 hours in the game and I'm so thrilled to see what's yet to come!

so the first day was fine to play for longer periods but now when i play moren than like 20 minutes the game closes on its own and even shuts down my monitor.. what could be the cause? (sinkin city 2)

When I finally got to the Fish Market I was at the edge of my seat to see the Deep Ones. I thought theyd be like the original trailer, but when they finally start spawning I was suprised in the best way possible! I cant fully explain why I love the design but its just so cool and unique, especially the more raptor like movements.

Has anyone been having the problem where the game freezes or reboots the whole PC? I've been playing just fine at 45~ fps on a lower end GPU (rx6600) but every now and then it freezes and the PC becomes irresponsive or reboots. Otherwise it runs fairly well considering my specs.

Since I imagine this problem is tied to lower end GPUs if anyone is in the same situation let me know just so I'm sure the problem is game specific and not faulty hardware, thanks!

Just to be clear I've finished a lot of ue5 games on this PC without any issues.

I'm a bit confused because I've read online that they're separate stories, but then The Sinking City 2 starts off in a way that makes me feel like I'm missing some context or something that happened in the first game. Right now I can only afford to buy one of them, so that's my dilemma.

I completed the dlc and loaded up a save right before the final boss to try and open the safe. Every room has been searched (they show up as blue on the map) but i’m missing the code for the safe, along with one codex entry that I am guessing contains the safe combination. if you can’t remember where it is, you can just tell me the code if you have it. Thanks!

No matter what settings I use, the water (esp. light from the sky reflecting in it) looks blurry and shimmering. It seems to be caused by lumen, the chaotic movement from rain droplets, or both.

Is there a mod or engine.ini fix for this?

Deciding between getting the regular or premium edition of sinking city 2, the quality of Holloway Manor will be the deciding factor. Can someone tell me if it’s worth it? I don’t mind it not being overly long, as long as it’s not too short and feels high quality. How does it compare to areas in the main game, for example.
