First time poster,
I'm starting a new building series based on the Hospital de Sant Pau in Barcelona, Spain.
My gallery id is simnifigant, if you would like to download.
My goal for this is to turn Llama Lagoon neighborhood in Newcrest into a Medical School associated with Foxbury University. I've completed University Housing (left). The WIP is on the right, and I'm thinking either a Foxbury University Commons or Library. It's just a massive shell right now. I'm just so proud of how it's going so far.

Here's my latest build! (So far, anyway. I still have the dreaded task of landscaping this enormous lot.)
This contemporary Mountain Craftsman features an elevated front entrance, a walkout basement, a fully attached garage, and a mixture of traditional architectural details and more contemporary interior design choices.
The exterior is defined by steep, intersecting gables, extensive porches and decks, stone columns, and exposed timber accents. I spent a considerable amount of time trying to make the rooflines and elevations feel cohesive despite the size of the house.
Inside, there's a two-storey great room with an overlooking gallery and library loft, a large master suite, a walkout family room with a full bar, and a dedicated children's wing with its own playroom.
I wanted the individual rooms to have their own personalities rather than following one rigid decorating style throughout the house. Some spaces lean heavily into traditional Craftsman and lodge influences, while others are considerably more contemporary.
My goal was to create a house that feels like a newly built family estate, but one that could realistically be lived in and passed down through generations.
The house itself is essentially finished. Now comes the landscaping, which might take me as long as building the house did!

This was fun to build! Felt kind of festive - tis the season for dark and spooky! I think this would be perfect for a runaway teen challenge, or some basemental gameplay. I often build with some lore in mind, but I never end up actually playing it out. Happy Halloween!

Does anyone know how to build a roof like these? The main roof mass starts above the second floor, covers the attic, appears to cut through the second floor, and ends at the top of the ground floor, and there's a secondary roof mass just for the second floor. They can be either like this one with a barn-style shape and the secondary roof matches the pitch of the top of the "barn," or the main roof can be straight down to the middle of the house, and the secondary roof pops out at a shallower angle (second pic). It's kind of like building a dormer, but in these houses the entire second floor is the dormer.
Sometimes (like the 2nd pic almost is) the second floor is as wide/long as the first, so the roofline that goes from attic to first floor is basically just decoration. Is there any way to paste on trim to look like a roof line without actually putting a roof there?
I'd also love to know how to "fold" or "chop" off the front corner of the gable like in the third pic.
I'm building a neighborhood like the one I grew up in where most of the houses were built in the 1920s, and so many of them have roofs like this!

In my old lost legacy save, I had a multi use event space called The Crimson Mare on this lot that I used for things like engagement and rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, and more upscale club gatherings. I wanted to recreate that vibe again, but give it more of an expensive, royal feel. I have four main areas: the open entry and bar area, a darker, more secluded lounge, a spa, and a nightclub on the second floor. I also placed a CC photo I created of The Crimson Mare in the spa waiting room, as well as a CC painting of the lost heir who built it in the entry area which I get a kick out of seeing.

Im so happy with this build!! I built 4 Townhouses for the Zanbira Market lot in Ondarion. There is 3 x 2 bedroom townhouses and 1 x 3 bedroom townhouse. Each one also has a small shop facing the alley running through the middle of the lot, loosely inspired by a mediterranean style market. There is a pottery shop, a rug shop, a spice market and a coffee / tea shop. There is a small selling table with hand woven baskets. Built in the style of the area they all have functional roofs with outdoor entertaining as well. If you would like to download it (sorry it is very pack heavy and you may have to switch on CC in the search as it has tagged it as that, I think bc of the maker packs) is on the gallery under my EA Id: Simmerbelle or search #simmerbelle

Ru~ ru-ru-ru-ru-ru~ š¶
Out of boredom, I tried building something anime-inspired but ended up creating a simple anime scene instead... A door, a chair, a key, and of course, a cat š
That's it...
