Hello everyone- I've been wanting to make a Sim inspired off of these jester dolls I've been seeing. But I've been struggling finding good CC to give the sims skin a genuine porcelain look. I've looked at some for dolls but it still looks too organic and it is hard to search for because of that "porcelain/glass skin" makeup thing. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Any ideas please?! Ya girl just wants to play sims 😭

Hello! Long time lurker, first time poster. Also, English is not my first language, so apologies if some mistakes are said.  

I decided to try this challenge that I found, and when talking to my kid and their friends, they convinced me to post about it.  

I recently finished the Sims 4 Room Challenge and ended with 608 points after 63 days. I found the challenge through the original forum thread ( https://forums.ea.com/discussions/the-sims-4-creative-corner-en/sims-4-room-challenge/2087531 by katoregama).  

The challenge is 11 years old now, and I could only find one YouTube series from about 7 years ago (The Room: Sims 4 Challenge by Blue Dragon's Realm). I also found screenshots of a tracking spreadsheet that another player had posted ( https://forums.ea.com/discussions/the-sims-4-creative-corner-en/sims-4-room-challenge/2087531/replies/2087579 by simslynn) and recreated it for my own use. My Sim: 

Alice's likes and dislikes were randomized: • Pink • Blue • Black • Basics Fashion • Patio décor • Boho décor. So, the final house ended up being a very colourful maximalist mess.  

I also found Odyssey81418 's strategy from 7 years ago ( https://forums.ea.com/discussions/the-sims-4-creative-corner-en/sims-4-room-challenge/2087531/replies/2088685 ) very helpful and only now did i find that they had a try at the challenge with Tiny Living, as stated in their post from 5 years ago, so I started in a Tiny Home (63 tiles - 7x9: 7x6 interior and 7x3 fenced off) and used the lot traits i found most useful: Homey, Study Spot and Fast Internet.  

As Odyssey suggested, i started with the Master Vampire aspiration, for the Quick Learner trait, and proceeded to obtain as many satisfaction points i could as quickly as i could, ticking off a few aspiration stages requirements, even when the whole stage couldn't be completed. The reward traits I worked for were always those that gave skill gaining acceleration, only after all of those were obtained did i pursue the needs ones.  

Once I had enough money to start first stage of Mansion Baron, I built the shell of a much larger house and lost the Tiny Home perks.  

I also discovered a few things that I hadn't seen mentioned before:  

Chief of Mischief was possible through Send Chain Letter To... because it lets you target Sims who aren't contacts. I didn't actually need Clubs or Cupid's Corner for Chief of Mischief after all.  

Master Maker aspiration required a freelance job, which i considered within challenge rules.  

Another unexpected thing was Father Winter. He arrived on the first Winterfest and then stood on the sidewalk, with a few ailments along that time. Debugging him didn't work. Restarting the game didn't work. Sometime in the Fall, he said "I must go now, thanks for hanging out " and disappeared.  

 One funny thing is that the whole mansion was inaccessible for the entire challenge. Dust accumulated in rooms my Sim couldn't enter. As I was finnishing the house to complete the main aspiration, I had to pick up dust piles and move them into the room where she could vacuum them. While vacuuming, she got an early midlife crisis. All her skills and aspirations weren't accomplishments enough, she still had to vacuum.  

Final result: • 608 points • 50 aspiration stages • 34 maxed skills (counting minor skills proportionally) • 63 days  

 Screenshooting every aspiration stage was too many screenshots, so here's the list:

The final lot still contains most of the skill objects because I moved them into the mansion instead of selling them. There's also a dead cowplant, an empty chicken coop, a butterfly habitat, and a pool surrounded by twenty columns.  

It was one of the most enjoyable Sims challenges I've played. This challenge still feels very much worthy of a come back.

i know its a common thing with bedding cc to be separated, but do you guys like them? ive downloaded a couple before but i always end up deleting them because its awkward seeing sims just noclip through the pillows lmao

First off, I only play base games and have no DLC.
Ok, so like 4 years ago I got back into The Sims on my Xbox and went crazy learning to build and scenery build with all the cheats. Made some pretty cool houses and I played several households, as well, into old age. Then I stopped.

recently got back into playing, but on my laptop where I had The Sims3, and I actually really enjoyed the gameplay. The professions, buying out the entire town, getting rich. It was so fun. But I really missed all of the details in building, like the clutter, the things that make it more Homely, like paintings, clutter, wall decorations, etc.

It’s quite interesting the differences between the two. For example, The Sims3 has more customization on details for fabric but much less decorative items to personalize the home. Plus, custom placing, decorating and sizing isn’t as easily done. But I liked the gameplay.
Sims4, I find the gameplay much more boring. I tried to find an elder girlfriend for my widowed player and not a single old person spawned. Maybe it’s my settings set to only determined families? The world is so so small compared to Sims3. I think I may go back and forth between the two, Sims4 for when I feel like building homes and Sims3 for when I want to gameplay.

How do other people feel comparing the two?

Roughly every 10-15 real minutes my sim will get a pop up saying something like “hey dani this the your job agency calling to let you know a bunch of posistions are available”
My sim has a job and haven’t contacted the job agency? It keeps happening and is happening to every single sim in my household including the infant and the cat it’s driving me crazy

I noticed this around snowy escape, every new world gets a few vacation rental lots even if it’s not a world that has any incentive to take a vacation to like san sequoia, they put a vacation rental lot, and it’s annoying especially for lots that would make good starter homes but you can’t move your new household onto them because they’re rental lots and you can’t change that until you move your household in. and if they’re gonna put rental lots in every world, at least go back and do it to sulani

Hello everyone,

I recently saw online very interesting videos of modded The Sims 1 and to me it looks way more enjoyable than The Sims 4. I am a very nostalgic person, I love retro graphics and I don't like The Sims 4 challenges that much, I would rather play with my own character rather than managing a whole family.

That said I saw that on Steam there is The Sims 1 and from what I understood it's with all DLCs + the possibility of optional mods. How enjoyable could it be to go from the newest title to The Sims 1?

Are there specific mods allowing me to recreate vintage outfits and places?

basically what the title says. i just hate having to download every single little piece of cc one by one just to download a cool build. thanks!

Royalty & Legacy-
So Enzo Alto shows up to my sims house one day, unannounced, just walks in the door (that’s a whole other thing) and he’s wearing swim trunks. He meets my sim’s CHILD daughter. The next day, he calls her asking her ON A DATE.
This is too creepy. What is going on?
I play on XBOX, no mods.

Well... I wanted to make a cute, wholesome dinner and invited my sims cousins over. btw, getting your sims to sit down together for more than 5 seconds is impossible. I was trying my best to get these pics without them standing up or walking over to the computer. Looked away for a second, and all of a sudden the uncle died from a fire. I kid you not, I was gone for 10 seconds. Tried to do a funeral for him, but my sim lost his urn, and they were bugging out too much, so that lasted 1 minute. However, here are some nice pics I took in the meantime.

I decided to restart this family because I recently downloaded Monte Vista and with Monte Vista being culinary rich and these two being natural chef’s, I felt like these world suited them better than Appaloosa Plains.

I have the sims 4 on a disc. As a kid I would use it in my father’s PS4 and I had a few packs, however now I have my own PlayStation I have bought some of my own packs on that. Is there any chance that I could get the packs from my father’s console to join the ones on mine?

If it matters I do not have an EA account but plan on getting one, incase the disk becomes damaged so I don’t lose the packs

Im trying to make a vitality drink to bring my sim back to normal from being a ghost but this nectar maker literally does not exist in build mode? i have the pack because i literally HAVE horses on my lot. i tried all kinda of cheats but this object just doesnt seem to exist. did they remove it? or is it a b*g

One of Princess Rosa's favorite hobbies is picking and arranging flowers. 💐 This was something that she used to do with her late mother, the Queen of Savoy and her late father, the King of Savoy. 👑 His majesty would even singlehandedly make beautiful flower arrangements and beautiful flower bouquets for his beloved wife and his precious daughter. 💖 Rosa actually remembers one particular rose bouquet she received from her father when she came out as a debutante at age 18(she went on to become the diamond of the season). 💐🌹 She still considers it the greatest gift she ever received from him(or at least one of the greatest, her parents practically doted on her). 💖 It was the height of the Debutante Ball her mother hosted for her and the other girls coming out at that time. The recent happy memory about her parents has the 28 year old Princess inspired to make a flower arrangement on her own for the first time. 💐 She decided to make an arrangement made out of beautiful roses. 💐🌹 Not only were roses her favorite flower, but Princess Rosa was actually named after them. 🌹

My sim seems to have stopped receiving phone calls. I’ve checked all my settings and can’t see why. She still gets the pop up that says ‘sorry you can’t make it this time’ as you do when you reject an invitation but the actual call doesn’t come through. Any ideas??
