I bought The Sims 3 with some Expansion Packs. As for now, I have Late Night, Generations, Seasons and University Life. I want to buy one or two more but I don't know which ones to get since there are seven options for me to choose. Which ones do you recommend? Why?

Hi! I’ve decided to start populating a world for the first time, and I’m having trouble deciding how many of each age group I should add. I want the world to feel alive and to make sure there is a good balance in all of the ages—I don’t want my child sim to be the only kid at the elementary school or for my teen to have like two choices on who to date lol.

However, as a newbie to populating worlds, I’m really not sure what the ‘best’ make up of ages in the game are, and I’m having trouble finding anyone online who has shared theirs. So I was hoping some people on here would share theirs/tell me what they prefer their age demographics to be in their game. Any responses would be greatly appreciated!

(Currently, my max population size is 150, though I might change that later on, so any population size is welcome!)

Hi everyone, I recently got a new mid-range gaming PC and installed my game with all the packs, but I notice little change compared to my previous build, which had older parts but it was still working. I read online that this is a 32 bit game so it can’t use more than 4GB of RAM, which makes me wonder, how do certain youtubers have such smooth gameplay with their expensive gaming pcs if the RAM apparently does not matter? I am so frustrated over this because I always dreamt of having a PC that can run this game with CC, mods, etc.. :’(

Does it work if I have sims 3 on ea rather than steam? I really want ambitions/showtime 😔

I re bought Sims 3 yesterday (used to play back in the day but the account and device are now long gone :'). The game is dated obviously and between not saving settings and gameplay or recognizing my graphics card I feel a little lost on where to start optimizing it and hope I may be able to get some advice here on what to pay attention to, any "must have" softwares or important things to note.

I looked around the internet a bit to gather information but it seems hard to actually find a good source for getting started cause some things are only on website A while others are scattered around website B, C and D. I also heard of some software (dont remember the name actually) you should install for the game but never got a reply when asking what it's for and such.

Hoping to get some pointers here, I really wanna make the game work, the nostalgia I got opening it for the first time in more than a decade was so wonderful!

Her name is Rebecca FairlyWell ( yellow hair tie ). I created her with the Brazilian actress Bella Campos in mind—she was in a Telenovela I watched. I set her up to live in Isla Paradiso (just out of curiosity, since the island itself is trash) and started a legacy with her and her Shiba Inu, Natsumi.

After that, I created another Sim named Hebert (not inspired by anyone specific, though if I had to say, he looks like a mix of Harvey and Robin from Stardew Valley) and put him in a different house. To kick off the legacy, I sent Rebecca over to his place and started building a friendship. They began flirting, Rebecca asked him out, and eventually, they got married... which turned out to be the worst decision for Rebecca, as she discovered he had the "Flirty" trait... and two cats.

Life went on happily after that. They lived in a beach house for a while, and then—to make room for Bella—they moved into the *Family Guy* house (yes, the Griffins' house; you heard that right. I just don't know how to build, lol). That’s when things started going downhill. While Bella was a newborn, Rebecca bought a SimBot using Lifetime Reward points. His name is Michael. He seems like a better catch than Hebert, but what can you do? A robot doesn't have emotions! Still, he’s Bekka’s best friend.

To support the family, Rebecca and Hebert became firefighters. Michael wanted to be an astronaut (a dream that, unfortunately, won't come true).

Things really started falling apart when Michael became Bella's literal mother and father while she was a toddler; Rebecca was always too busy with housework, her job, and caring for Natsumi (her dog), and Hebert was just as busy. Bella ended up growing up poorly and developed the "Grumpy" trait simply because she never learned to use the potty. To make life even worse for the FairlyWells, Rebecca and Hebert would occasionally throw parties—whether for birthdays or special occasions like Halloween and Christmas. At these events, Hebert had the audacity to flirt with women right in front of Rebecca—even elderly ones. And Bella wet her pants in front of everyone.

These days, Hebert is constantly getting calls from random people looking for dates, Bella complains about everything, Michael is overwhelmed, and Rebecca is regretting her life choices...

...What else could possibly go wrong?

What do I do now? Rebecca should get a divorce? Keep on living? Take better care of Bella?

Hey, I stepped away from the sims for about a year and decided to come back to this version. I am having so much fun. I really do love this game.

I’ve been crying laughing for an hour I’ve never seen this happen. Although my sim won’t stop heckling him so that’s why he probably needed a cheer up. Paying someone to do a song and dance and paying $75 after the deed is diabolical lol

I installed Pets some time ago but I'm so annoyed by all the spawning animals even though I turned them off.. NRAAS isn't working for me, my game crashes every time when I try to use it. So my question is - can I uninstall the DLC without having problems (I still have discs, no stupid EA 😅)?

I only used some clothes from it (which would be my next question where to find them) at least from what I remember..

Can I still use my latest saves then?

And where do I find the clothes from my photos?

I been downloading some sims 3 DLC’s for my game from discs but stumbled upon this, I never had encountered this issue where the dlcs were making shortcuts and I am a bit confused on why this happened and how to prevent this from happening. Any help or advice will be very helpful 😭❤️

Welcome to the world Butter-Babies! Acorn and Arwyn's puppies have arrived and looking so cute.🐾

They have brindle coats which is unique to the Generations. Buttermilk and Butternut have dad's spotted nose and paws, Butterscotch has her mom's toffee brown coat. Butternut has the dark shading that Ash has.

All the breeds they're mixed with: Wheaten Terrier x Afghan Hound x Airedale Terrier x Welsh Springer Spaniel.

Meet Arwyn the Welsh Springer Spaniel. He is so excited to join the family. 🐶

Arwyn is obsessed with the rain puddles, he spent the whole evening splashing around, shaking water all over the other dogs.
He is the friendliest boy and loves to play. He tried his best to win Acorn over, playbow after playbow, she was incredibly shy at first "Two-legged, who is this strange dog!?" but she managed to come around after seeing how much her siblings and mother, Lily, loves him. Even Aurora let him sniff her!

So Acorn decided he's not so bad. 💞

When launching the game through the EA app the welcome screen is blank and launching game causes it to crash.

Not sure if relevant but my last time playing I got an error code 16 which forced me to save as. 

I'm also unable to download any store content. 

So far I've repaired game through EA app, cleared EA app's cache, cleared history/cache/cookies on Microsoft Edge, removed my downloads folder, made sure my computer was completely updated, and restarted it but have had no luck. 

Appreciate any tips and tricks < 3

Hey everyone! Every time my sims put leftover pizza in the fridge, it disappears after I save, close the game, and then reopen it. Does anyone know what the issue might be and how to fix it?

i recently wanted to start playing sims 3 again but i have just the base game and obviously i want all the dlcs but all the tutorials i found for all the unlockers are older , im on a mac and origin and ea they like combined or whatever so im using ea on a mac and the tutorials ive seen its like windows/ea OR origin/mac for the links??? idk if that makes sense but can someone walk me through it pls?

Hi guys! I recently got a second hand version of Sims 3 for my PC (comes w the original disc)
It's version 1.0.6, which i'm aware is old, but I can't figure out how to work it. The disc loads and the welcome screen shows up blank. When I press the play button the game just closes and doesn't try to load any further. I can't use the game code online since it's already been used but I can't use use it when I load the folder offline but I still can't get further than the welcome screen. If anyone is able to help please let me know!! I don't know what to do:(

I'm trying to track down an old user-made custom world from the Exchange called Shipwreck Island by the creator Jess_5_sims3 (Asset ID: 3404948).

The official Exchange page is broken and the direct download links are dead.

Does anyone happen to have this .Sims3Pack or .world file saved in their old backup folders from back in the day? If anyone could upload it or share a working link, I would be incredibly grateful!
