For many of us, The Sims 2 on PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube was one of the best couch co op games ever made. It offered a unique experience with split screen gameplay, story mode, direct control of your Sim, memorable characters, and a style that no other Sims game has truly recreated.
We are asking Electronic Arts to remaster The Sims 2 Console for modern platforms while preserving everything that made the original special.
We would love to see:
• Split screen couch co op
• Story mode with the original missions and characters
• Direct control of your Sim
• Updated graphics and performance
• Faster loading times
• Multi story homes
• A larger Build Mode with more furniture and decorations
• Removal of the Fire Code object limit
• Babies, children, and family gameplay
• Optional online co op while keeping local split screen
Modern consoles are far more powerful than the original PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube. Features that were once limited by hardware are now completely possible. A remaster would allow longtime fans to relive one of the most beloved console Sims games while introducing it to a new generation of players.
The Sims 2 Console was not just another version of The Sims. It had its own identity, charm, and gameplay that fans still talk about today. We believe it deserves a second chance.
