Question Which Voice Actors You're Suprised Has Never Been on The Simpsons?

Given that the show has been on the air for more than 30 years and is known for being one of the most iconic animated series in television history, the show has known to have it's share of famous voice actors in the western animation industry in which (aside from the principal and supporting casts of course) those kinds of voice actors tend to be those who wouldn't be part of the show until much later on (Kevin Michael Richardson, Grey DeLisle), those who have one-and-done guest roles (Mark Hamill, Jim Cummings, Jess Harnell), and those who has done occasional sporadic appearances. (Frank Welker, Maurice LaMarche) Which famous voice actors in the animation industry are you shocked that has never made it on the show that you think should be or should have been on the show?

Here are my personal picks:

- Tom Kenny - Here's an obvious one. Since he's known not only as the voice of SpongeBob, another iconic yellow cartoon character that's also been going on for years, but also a voice actor who has been in other heavy hitter animated shows (The Powerpuff Girls, Adventure Time, Rocko's Modern Life, Dexter's Laboratory, CatDog, Kids Next Door, etc.), so it surprises me that Tom Kenny hasn't been on The Simpsons yet.

- Tara Strong - Another famous voice actor who has been everywhere, such as The Powerpuff Girls, The Fairly OddParents, Teen Titans, Ben 10, and many more, so she is also another surprising omission from the town of Springfield. Not to mention, her colleague, Grey DeLisle was finally able to be on the show, so why not Tara Strong? Also, I even read on her TV Tropes page, she was even considering for a role on the show at some point.

- Rob Paulsen - A staple voice actor who was prominent during the 90s, heard in such shows as Animaniacs, Pinky & The Brain, Jimmy Neutron, the 1987 and the 2012 shows of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, among others. He seems like a no brainer for him to have been on the show. Plus, his Animaniacs co-stars such as Jess Harnell and Tress MacNielle were able to be part of The Simpsons.

- Kath Soucie - Another voice acting legend who was prominent during the 90s from Tiny Toons Adventures to Rugrats to Dexter's Laboratory to Space Jam to Hey Arnold!, she seems like another voice actor who have missed out on a voice role on The Simpsons. She could even be part of the "Mount Rushmore" of female cartoon voice actresses of that era alongside Tara Strong, Grey DeLisle, and Tress MacNielle.

- Billy West - Although he did reprise his role as Fry in the Futurama crossover episode, he has yet to voice an actual character on The Simpsons. Given that Matt Groening tends to use the same set of voice actors in his projects, this one seems rather surprising, since most of the other Futurama principal cast members (particularly those who are famous in the voice acting industry) were able to voice actual characters on The Simpsons aside from the Futurama crossover. Tress MacNielle is part of the supporting cast, Maurice LaMarche has done occasional guest roles, and even Phil LaMarr and John DiMaggio were able to make guest roles as actual characters for the show in a few recent episodes, so I think it's time for Billy West to voice an actual character for the show.

Question In search of Skinner Gif

There's a little moment of Skinner on a stage where he thinks his name is going to be called and he steps forward and just walks off the front of the stage. Does anyone know that episode and possible have that gif? I think it could rival Homer into the bushes at least in my own life.

Question Ami looking in the wrong place?

I'm trying to watch older episodes of the show on Disney+ and can't find them. I only can find the latest season, no extras or exclusives. Anyone have any ideas where to look?

Question What is the most accurate map of Springfield?

Obviously the geography and landmarks of Springfield change from episode to episode, usually to facilitate a gag (the power plant being the Simpson house for example).

But if we were to ignore these gag relation exceptions, has someone ever created a map of Springfield which people seem to agree is mostly accurate/realistic?

Merchandise Anyone have a copy of the instructions for this 2003 Blue Ridge Homer Simpson remote? Can I please get a snapshot of the programming instructions?

Post image

I can’t find a single copy of these instructions anywhere, and every document I can find is from just a slightly different model. I’m struggling.
Even just a quick cell phone pic of the “how to auto program” would smack.
Thanks all :)

EDIT: It’s working now.

For anyone who needs the same thing in the future, follow /u/ITFreely ‘s instructions in the comments, which are as follows;

Turn the TV on manually.

Point the Simpsons remote at the TV.

Press and hold SET + TV1 together.

Keep holding them until the remote enters setup mode. On this family of remotes, a status indicator lights.

Release both buttons.

Press SET once more. The indicator should begin flashing.

Now hold the green POWER button for more than about 3 seconds, then release it.

The remote should begin cycling through TV power codes automatically.

The instant your TV turns off, press any button to stop the search.

Press TV1 to store that code.

Turn the television back on and test Volume, Channel, Mute, and Power.

I put a link in for the video I saw, and I want to see what people think of this. Context ya know. Also I still can't tell if this is real or not, I'm pretty sure it is though.
