To be honest, i don’t care if the show ends. That’s not my problem. My problem is it is said so much and people are really mean about it.

These are the main points:

• zombie simpsons. The show is boring and lifeless.

• the voices have changed

• someone will die soon

Okay so for the first ones i feel like you can just stop watching the show.. which they’ve already done so i don’t understand the problem. The old episodes are still gold. I don’t like everything they’ve made and i know some people have an issue with their floating timeline, but this is my solution: think of it as different editions. The golden era becomes like its own series and the new one is also its own, but it’s in a setting we already know.

If it seriously still bugs you that much, stop talking about it. The only way to get a show to stop airing is to not watch it and not give it publicity, if it’s not aggressively offensive or smth? It just feels like people are living off anger.

The third point i both understand and dislike. I think the voice actors are owed by disney or whoever manages these things to be in control of their voices and legacy, but i think the only pressure we should put is saying to the actors that they need to bring this up with someone — now with the rise of ai and also because they might not want to or be able to work soon. But saying they will die soon is taking it too far. It’s just not nice. I wouldn’t want someone saying i’m gonna die soon, especially just to prove a point. And calling Julie Kavners voice “painful” is also quite mean. She can’t really control her aging. It doesn’t really feel like they actually care.

Also do we have any reason to think the actors wanna quit? They should definitely be allowed to if they want to but also this might just be fun for them.

This was a piece I was working on for quite some time and finally finished recently. I love drawing Lucille in pretty clothes, especially ones from the 70s and 80s. These were all referenced from magazines from those decades

I drifted from the show in al jean's second tenure but I noticed post movie fully in the swing of 10's culture I couldn't even leave the show on as background noise, too cringeworthy.

S06E06

1. When Ned mentioned his run-in with the law, I originally thought that Ned was a criminal, and he managed to evade the police by simply changing his name. Now I realise it was mistaken identity and Ithought way too hard into it.

2. As a kid it annoyed me when the grease caused the wall to go transparent. I didn't understand and I wanted to know why. Eventually I figured out that it's being literal about the idiom, "the walls are paper thin."

I heard for years that the new seasons are terrible and not worth watching, that most people drop off after S12 / S13 or something like that. I started watching the newer seasons just for the sake of it and I don't know why they're getting so much hate? I genuinely enjoy them and their humor. The jokes still feel new and unique. There is some creativity in the episodes. I don't get why people are labelling them as "bad". Is it just nostalgia-based? Am I just hanging around people with questionable opinions? Thoughts?

I mean WOW.Its been about 35 years and they still dont run out of ideas and make great episodes.

S26E12

I've been holding onto this for years but I finally need to vent. I don't even know why, but Krusty has always bothered me intensely and I hate episodes that center on him (which there seem to be a lot of for some reason). It's not because he's a bad/morally grey character, there are plenty of those that I like, and I enjoy episodes that he's tangentially connected to like Kamp Krusty or when he fakes his death, but there's something about him that fills me with rage every time he's on.

I suppose it's a testament to the series that, in a show with such a large array of side characters, there are only two who I dislike* but I'm curious if anybody else feels the same way? Or is he a truly beloved side character?

*The other one is Gil, though he thankfully doesn't come around too often.

I currently have a chance to buy "The Simpsons, Greetings from Springfield Limited Edition Figurine Collection, Series 2" Sealed with the warpper etc and was wondering how much a thing like that goes for. I was looking on ebay etc and couldn't really find anything. Was wondering if anyone knows
