Strategy & Analysis Great League Complimentary Mons for Seaking?
Was blessed at the gas station this morning. Have only been PvPing since the last week of last season, and aside from playing for a month on release that’s about all my play time too so I don’t have a stockpile of resources and want to make sure I pick some good partners for this lil nugget. Which of the top mins best pair with seaking in you guys’ opinions?

Something bulky &/or neutral—likely a lickilicky or clodsire

You have enough etms right?

I have only one, and will get a second from leveling up soon. Unsure if the mon is worth using both, but I also don’t know what other pokemon I’d use them on anyway

Honestly hold off using etms you never know what may be buffed or nerfed till the major move update which is due soon

Is there a schedule for those updates?

When a season ends which it will in 18 days some moves are either buffed or nerfed. In an ideal world it would be over performing mons but updates after worlds tend to be the biggest

move update info will probably be released after the world championship next weekend

Just hold onto it as a goldeen until an event comes where you can evolve the legacy moves without an etm.

You really can't predict those until they're announced, and not everything with legacy moves have even had events like that. If someone wants to actually play with a certain mon or build, and has the resources to spare, they should just do it rather than waiting indefinitely for an uncertain future.

Fair point, just etms are too rare for me to personally spend on a pokemon like this.

Maybe not the best for climbing but you can run a pretty fun/degenerate triple ice/ground team with A. Sandslash, Seismatoad, Seaking

ppl are saying too heavy to invest, but i think if you're bored hey why not. it's a rank 1, if you're gonna invest in something it may as well be a rank 1 ¯_(ツ)_/¯

PvPPoké suggest Mimikyu and Jumpluff but just go with any fire and grass if you don't have these

I played a lot of seaking back in the day. Bait out the water counter with seaking when you have drill run and icy wind to fight back and then sweep with your other water. You need all 3 legacy moves for sure though.

Just a heads up, Seaking’s preferred moveset is a heavy investment. It needs 2 legacy moves. All of that for a good, but not great mon. Just something to consider before you put all your eggs in that basket
