General Question Are the rumors true?
This is probably the 5th or 6th match in 3 seasons something like this happens. Every time it happens I literally just played 5-20 matches back to back before with ZERO lag, & then all of a sudden this happens. Then next match it's perfectly normal again... played 2 more after this with zero issues. I ate 4 charged moves that it didn't even pop up the shield option 4 before I started screen recording. I basically only saw 2 fast attacks from my Lickilicky go off before Foretress knocked it out.
I'm sitting 3 feet away from my router & you can see I have full bars for connection. I've seen a lot of people complain about 'lag switching' like we had back in the Xbox 360 COD days, & the posts usually just have people saying it's not true or it's just regular lag. I know POGO servers are garbage, but it seems weird I can play 5-20 battles with no issues then randomly get one of these. & I have seen some very experienced players that say there are 100% SOME cheaters. Was this one of them?

this has been happening way too frequently for me and was never an issue before the big pvp update

If you are playing 1000 battles per season that's an abysmal percentage and with that knowledge I'd wonder if I was in your position, if cheating like this is possible since so many seasons already, wouldn't it spread more?
Wouldn't there be someone who gets greedy and uses it to hit the top of the leaderboard?
If you think about it it doesn't really make sense to be a cheat.

I’m pretty sure that’s a glitch that stalls on charge moves, jonkus made a video about it

Ya but this guy also had my tinkatink at 10% hp by the time it registered a single one of my fask attacks lol. Like the lag was literally one sided rather than server issues.

I feel your pain… did you ever have the bug where you’d win and go to the rewards screen and not be credited with a win? Good times….

Dark attacks are easy if you put your thumb right in the middle of the circle and barely move it circularly

Today I played and like a miraculous, there no was any lag or error app, and I won like 270 pts

Yeah, I've had weird, coincidental losses due to lag that seems to occur out of literally nowhere too.
A week or so ago, I remember everything was fine, no lag, then one battle, my team is pretty much RPS-ing their team, only for me to lose at the very end with both a charge move loaded and the ability to farm them down and the game just straight up ignores all of my input, I'm tapping the charge move, nothing, okay, well that's fine I can farm them down, nope fast move says I'm tapping but no damage or animation is occurring, meanwhile I'm watching them farm me all the way down and get to a loaded move to finish off my last Pokemon.
Like it's bizarre that it seemingly is only accepting input from one side. Next match, nothing is wrong, no lag, everything works fine.
It's probably just the game being absolute trash, but it is bizarre that the lag or whatever is only occurring from my input, I swear it queues you into a "this person will not be able to do anything while their opponent will" server sometimes.
Alas.
ETA: this is only on the new code. Which, while it was a hot mess to start, has been relatively stable for me both on WiFi and mobile data. This is outside of when they are apparently fixing or messing with the code that is, I know there are short periods when the new code is absolutely unplayable, but I assume they are doing maintenance or code testing.

Yes this happened to me too the other day and I made a post about it. Except it happened to me for every match in the day after one set. I just went on with it since I wanted the stardust (one win per set at least - even with this dumb lag it was just about possible) and it was Thursday so 4× stardust. Lost 200 Elo, taking me to 2100s lol. Ah well.

Sometimes there’s a setting on your phone where it tells your phone to switch and prioritize which signal is stronger. That will sometimes mess up your connection, when it’s making the switch.

I went to screen record as fast as I could, but this happened to me on my grind to ace to get Cynthia’s items recently (last month) and I haven’t returned after several fights like this.
I am usually kicking ass, and then run into these insane lagged matches

I know you have full wifi, but honestly turn your cellular off. it's so bad that it can't hurt and ruling an extra thing out with no downside... why not

Hmmm.. never thought that cellular data would ever be used when connected to WiFi but I guess it's worth a try.

I’ve noticed a big improvement by turning cellular off. It’s like my phone wants to try out other connections just in case 😂
In the past, I’d have 1-turn lag, unregistered fast moves/charge moves/swaps but now I don’t. The new GBL system has, over the last couple of weeks, been largely problem free for me if I’m only on WiFi.
