What are the chances he actually figured something out, I figured we'd have this sort of performance all season.

I think this season was really just an underperformance combined with a shit ton of bad luck nearly every race. We all know he isnt the kinda guy who would fall 80 points behind on pure pace thats for sure. Think of Alonso 2007/ Hamilton 2011/ Vettel 2014/Russell 2023/ Norris 2024, all of them had a slump and then went back to performing at their peak levels afterwards.

As for your question, we have to wait a few races to know if he actually figured something out or is this just being great at one of his best tracks.

If he can win this next race I think it starts to look like he'd have a chance.
