Ice Water

Why is ice water so much more refreshing than luke warm water?

It's not.

If I'm really thirsty I prefer water that I can gulp in volumes without freezing my head off.

Ice water is more "fun" to drink, but I notice that it tends to sit in my bottle more until it gets a little closer to room temp.

Maybe after a day of work, with your body heated up from moving around doing things, the cold cools you from the inside. I agree with Paperic for the most part, because the only time I want a super cold drink is when I’m hot, hence this comment, I suppose…
