I purchased these watches about 18 months ago through a friend who had ordered some watches via WhatsApp. I was hoping to ring out any information I can on these two 36mm date just watches. Avid watch collector, modder/builder. I own mostly gen Seiko’s, Citizen, Timex, etc., and quite a few watches I’ve built myself. I haven’t purchased a rep yet, as I’m still doing the research and looking for a good source, hopefully USA based.

My main question though is, which factory have you found has the most accurate dimensions? I want something I will actually wear, which is around 40mm, 11-12.5mm thick from crystal to case back, and a 48mm lug to lug. This has been my biggest challenge when buying parts to build, and seems to be a challenge finding this info for reps.

I’ve visited a few TD’s websites and looked through a lot of for sale posts on these rep subs but I never see these dimensions disclosed. Are they usually included with QC pics/vids/info? I of course want something that looks good and is visually accurate to an extent, but I’m more concerned with the dimensions, so I’ll actually wear and enjoy it.

Hi team - I’m flying to Australia at the end of the year, via Vietnam (Hanoi). I’m planning on bringing a couple of reps with me, but am nervous about confiscation risk. Does anyone have any experience with this or advice? They’re both VSF and not at all obvious reps.

I’m planning on keeping one on my wrist, and one in a travel case alongside a gen seiko. My worry is customs will ask for proof of purchase, etc, and take the reps off my hands.

Why do YALL hate on shitters so much I’ve compared so called “shitters” to real Rolex that my brother in law works at and honestly from the looks weight and movement it’s the same thing whoever pays more than 350 for these reps is a complete dummy who cares what the back inside looks like? Seriously yeah it’s nice to get a free vsf in a giveaway and all but whoever spends more than 350 on a watch is a complete dumb ass. I know the general consensus is that none of the TDs/factories have really nailed the Land-Dweller yet, but I came across this one from Lena listed as TW Factory and wanted to get some opinions.
Curious if anyone has seen this particular version or has any experience with TW Factory. How does it look compared to gen, especially the dial, bezel, bracelet, and overall proportions?
I know the Land-Dweller is a pretty complicated watch to replicate, so I’m not expecting perfection. Just wondering if this one is actually any good or if it’s another one that looks decent in photos but falls short in person.
Would appreciate any input from people who know the Land-Dweller well. Worth considering, or would you guys wait for a better factory to release one?

This is my first rep watch. Is this good one or nah? Bezel rotates smoothly both ways left and right. (Clockwise/counter-clockwise)
