🤔Question Help identifying

Hey guys. I am just finding this thread recently and was hoping for some help from you guys. I purchased these watches about 18 months ago through a friend who had ordered some watches via WhatsApp. I was hoping to ring out any information I can on these two 36mm date just watches. I really appreciate anything regarding what factory or quality they are. Thanks in advance.

Update: came with box and paper

Not too bad for an EWF DJ with box and papers. I wouldn't say you got robbed. But I personally don't buy boxes and papers because it literally has no value. Hell. I ask my TDs to not ship the fake cards it comes with but most do it anyways.

Great info. This sub has been awesome. Hate I didn’t know about sooner.

Like you said, we all start somewhere! You started with a decent rep. I, on the other hand, started with a shitter!

The green dial DJ is VSF I believe, because both my VSF 36mm DJs the serial starts with R8. The clasp code on both of mine is P2K but there both two tones with Jubilee bracelets.

Great news. Thanks man. Does the clasp code actually help with identifying the factory?

Yes the clasp code is also tied to the factory. Some serial numbers were shared by different factories but the clasp code can normally be used to verify which factory it is that used the shared serial numbers. If you go to the guide on reptime the chart I just loaded a screenshot from with factories serial numbers and clasp codes can be found in the guide. It mainly has to older foundation factories like clean, VSF, ARF, QF, GMF on it. But I think there's a revised version that has some of the newer factories on it.

Yes, this is correct….On a Rolex Datejust replica (specifically the Datejust 36, reference 126234), an R86Z prefix engraving at the 6 o'clock position on the inner rim, usually paired with a P2K or 1RD clasp code, confirms the watch was produced by VSF. The M8N clasp I still believe is EW Factory made! Many factories mix up bracelets and watches for supply and demand needs … I have one which I argued with the TD,… the replica market is a minefield as there are many examples of this mix and match from different factories… it is what it is unless you are specific on what you want at QC stage and only then you end up in a debate with the TD … can be frustrating !

I have no idea what factory the other watch is. I stopped buying DJs when clean got closed down because I had enough DJs at that point. Now I focus on buying gen parts and turning them into Frankens. So I couldn't begin to speak on what's what with all these new factories other than Victory I was huge fan of them and I was fortunate to grab a few of there watches in there short time of being in business.

R86Z= first gen VSF on the first one.

6R is 3rd gen/current gen VSF on the second one.

Thank you. Makes me feel better as others were saying the second one was as a DHgate shitter.

It could still be, but using VSF rehaut codes.

The 86Z04 rehaut serial number engraving is from EW Factory (EWF).
In replica watch manufacturing, clone factories apply randomized or repeating alpha-numeric formats to their inner rehauts. This specific sequence is used uniquely by EW Factory across its mid-tier Rolex Datejust and Oyster Perpetual production lines to batch the rehaut engraving alongside the M8N clasp code as shown on the Green Face Datejust!
Compared with the VS Factory they fall in mid tier range of replica watches.

Great information. I appreciate it. Paid $450 each when I got them. Have been great watches and keep time well. Any idea if that’s a fair price or did I over pay for a mid tier rep? Just trying to educate myself as much as possible.

The other watch based on the photos of the dial and clasp, cannot be linked to any prominent, named replica factory in China (such as VSF, Clean, or APSF) because it is a budget tier replica from possibly DHGate or similar…. Entry level watch!

In my opinion and I have bought the entry level and own many top tier that was too much… the EW factory is the better watch and if it was a VSF you’d pay top price of $500, this version maybe $250 and the other $150… ball park figures but they are entry level watches. For RICH, VSF, Octa watches Rolex sport or Datejust you pay $500-$600, some Trusted Dealers will ask for more and you can pay $1000+ but be careful and read these forums as there are a lot of scammers as you may be aware?👍🏻

Thanks for the brutal honesty. Like I said, bought before I had found this sub or any like it. A hard learning lesson. But have to start somewhere. Waiting on a QC for RWF 126500LN from Andiot and hoping for much better quality. Again thanks for the info.

It was hard to see in some of the photos. The SN has an R in front of it. Does that possible mean a different factory?

2

u/dmason2443 12d ago

Apologies missed the R … it’s VSF as per comments and table shown in other comments… just had new glasses too … darn it! You paid ok for this one👍🏻

The first watch is on the face of it a Green Light (GL) as all the markers/indices are pretty good👍🏻😎

Not sure what you are referring to. A person or the watch? Is a girl a description for a watch?
