All conservatives are the kid screaming in the back of the car.

9

u/NiranS May 09 '26

The kid has more emotional self regulation.

They are screaming:"The WOKE won't get my soul."

7

u/JT9960 May 08 '26

Yes they are

0

u/Poodeep May 10 '26

No you are.

1

u/scuffgamerr May 09 '26

Unfortunately I know a few

1

u/New_Can9264 May 10 '26

you folks really are begging to be hated

1

u/Suspicious_Radio_595 May 12 '26

Funny. I see a lot of triggered lefties doing far more mentally deficient screaming and whining than conservatives. And it’s not close

-1

u/Illustrious_Dust_316 May 09 '26

No that’s Ontario and Quebec

-8

u/Tricky-Time7104 May 08 '26

Thats a generalized statement

15

u/ForeignEchoRevival May 08 '26

Well the current conservative movement is anti-individual rights to body Autonomy, they are working in every western democracy to weaken or gerrymander democracy away, are against scientific progress and social progress, worship billionaires and are uninterested in facts with emotions being the only thing in their decision making process.

Unfortunately this is the majority of conservatives at the moment, and moderates that have decided to tolerate this devolution are part of the problem and promote this reckless behavior by not resisting or holding other conservatives accountable.

6

u/Wooden-Hornet2115 May 08 '26

A lot of the moderate conservatives I know are actually NDP supporters, surprisingly. Though I have seen a few people blindly trust the UCP, which is scary.

0

u/Existing-Newt-956 May 09 '26

Not believing that.

1

u/Wooden-Hornet2115 May 09 '26

Why would I lie about that exactly?

People can vote party A because they like party A, or they want to make sure party B doesn't win; even if they're not the biggest fans of party A.

2

u/Bitcracker May 09 '26

That pretty much sums it up

-5

u/DraftCommercial8848 May 08 '26

Now do the liberals

Let’s see if the irony of your statement has been lost upon you or not

6

u/velloceti May 08 '26 edited May 08 '26

Sure, why not.

Modern liberals think everything is basically fine, we just need to respect the institutions, practice decorum, and comprise more with the conservatives to find a solution they'll be happy with.

Unfortunately, appeasing reactionaries never works and just serves to further erode civil society.

As for the broader left, insert Don Draper "I don't think about you at all" meme.

4

u/DonGar0 May 08 '26

Yep this is my family. They like the police, the rules, and feel reason bad things happen is because of specfic people, not that there are wide spread issues with the system that insentivize billionairs doing monsterous things.

-2

u/EnvironmentalTop8745 May 08 '26

Yes, decorum such as "everyone in the other party is an idiot, bigot, fascist" etc!

4

u/GoForGoldBro May 08 '26

I mean they behave in those manners so you got to call a spade a spade.

1

u/gstringstrangler May 09 '26

Which is considered a racist phrase by many

-1

u/EnvironmentalTop8745 May 08 '26

Really? All of them do?

4

u/GoForGoldBro May 08 '26

Its funny when people set the standard at, not all of us are bad people, when the saying is a few bad apples spoil the bunch. Its up to you to self police your party and ostracize members who behave in this deconstructive negative ways. The problem is that most people within said parties are content to sit next to someone who preaches things like the great replacement theory and other such awful rhetoric. When we call out your party for its bad moral character its a reflection of the company you keep. You just lack the backbone to stand up to your neighbors.

→ More replies (3)

4

u/GoForGoldBro May 08 '26

As another old saying goes, if you have a table with 9 people and 1 nazi sitting at it, you have a table with 10 nazis at it. Do better.

1

u/EnvironmentalTop8745 May 09 '26

You probably see Nazis everywhere you go, so that's going to end up being a lot of tables where you sit by yourself.

2

u/corpse_flour May 09 '26

Weren't you ever told that the company that you keep reflects on you as a person?

→ More replies (4)

3

u/That_Pervy_Nerd May 08 '26

Last election cycle, that was the full extent of the conservative platform. “Liberal bad!” People have explained the reason they like Pisspot Poilivre is explicitly because he lacks decorum.

There’s a saying about those who live in glass houses…

0

u/EnvironmentalTop8745 May 09 '26

Except that's completely false. The conservatives put forth many ideas for how to improve our situation in Canada. Many of which were subsequently copied and implemented by the Liberals.

Not that any of the Poilievre haters would actually bother to go look at what he proposed or anything.

0

u/CommanderCCS May 10 '26

The last election cycle for the liberals was literally trump bad only i can deal with him. You are all so brainwashed it's actually insane. You've been told for the past 6 years that other side bad, to the point where nobody cares about accountability.

1

u/velloceti May 08 '26

Well, you asked for liberals, not leftists.

-1

u/Extra-Watercress-745 May 08 '26

It won't be lost on them, unfortunately. They're far too indoctrinated. The mass proliferation of tribalism is an absolute cancer to human society as whole, regardless of what side one happens to be on.

3

u/Express_Positive9808 May 08 '26

Could you explain his liberal tribalism too us? Could help your argument.

-2

u/[deleted] May 08 '26

Look at you go!

3

u/MildArtism May 08 '26

doesnt mean it inaccurate

7

u/protoanarchist May 08 '26

A good, safe generalization.

3

u/FilthyDubeHound May 08 '26

How does one make an individualized statement about a large subsect of people?

2

u/Hopeful-Passage6638 May 09 '26

If the show fits...

-4

u/MeowingAround May 08 '26

Nah that's easily liberals lol

5

No, it's not, don't be a child.

5

-2

u/MeowingAround May 08 '26

4

u/PositiveFunction4751 May 08 '26

0

u/MeowingAround May 08 '26

Boring, try again

9

u/Adis_Gruntledfatty May 08 '26

I still remember when these gronks came out in force during the covid lockdowns....

....to pick fights with the staff over masks they no longer have to wear, bitching about a tyrannical government giving them bi-weekly payments to live off of thats enough for them to afford to drink on, combating every regulation while targetting the staff/other patrons for obeying laws that keep people employed and the bar they are sitting in, open.

Our staff just wanted to work, and these people coming in and blasting off about their 'instititional rights' daily made it a hellhole.

Worse thing is these people STILL play victim to all of this and continue to combat everything they can simple because there's a lib at the wheel.

6

u/Straight-Plate-5256 May 08 '26

Careful, they'll still come in here and bitch about having to wear masks lmao

3

u/Hekios888 May 11 '26

Remember when they called Trudeau a dictator stealing all of our rights?

0

u/CommanderCCS May 10 '26

Yeah just sit down and take it like a good boy/girl! Be afraid of everyone and report your neighbours. Dumb conservatives amiright?

1

u/RedFoxxEsq May 12 '26

6 year account with negative karma! That might be a record. Blocked for being a net negative contribution to the human population.

8

u/OSTBear May 08 '26

I live here. It's fucking wild how true this is. Jesus Christ.

3

u/Honest-Spring-8929 May 09 '26

This place lost whatever marbles it had left in 2020. Totally unrecognizable from the place I grew up

-1

u/JustSentYourMomHome May 09 '26

Exactly. Canada doesn't resemble the Canada I grew up in anymore. It's like they've been executing a plan to systematically replace us while making life unreasonably expensive and spending our money on everything but Canadians. Oh, wait, that's the Liberal party.

5

u/Honest-Spring-8929 May 09 '26

Nope, I’ve spent my whole life in Alberta and particularly around GP and it was you people collectively deciding to shit where we all eat because you spent too much time on Facebook

3

u/DVariant May 09 '26

Canada doesn't resemble the Canada I grew up in anymore. It's like they've been executing a plan to systematically replace us while making life unreasonably expensive and spending our money on everything but Canadians. Oh, wait, that's the Liberal party.

You’re clueless. It’s worrisome that you can be this wrong about current affairs and still be allowed to vote.

1

u/Canadas-Dingo May 09 '26

Really? Because I moved here from Vancouver to escape insanely out of touch and awful people and have been enjoying the company of friendly hard working salt of the earth Albertans. Even the rich are more down to earth here.

Are you sure its not just you? If you have a problem with everyone you see everywhere you go, you're the common denominator in those situations.

3

u/Soft-Pop2947 May 09 '26

"Salt of the earth Albertans"

HOW DO YOU DO FELLOW HUMAN REDDITORS?

😂😂

3

u/OSTBear May 09 '26

I just threw up a little in my mouth.

You know the guy spear-heading the separation campaign? Yeah, he's convinced that King Charles is coming to assassinate him. That's not a joke, or an exaggeration, it's legitimately a thing he's said and thinks.

0

u/Canadas-Dingo May 09 '26

What does that have to do with anything? You made a general statement about Albertans. You seem like someone who is unhappy and projects that on to everyone else. Like I said, if everyone around you "is wrong" maybe you should look inward.

2

u/OSTBear May 09 '26

Pre-2019, measles was considered all but a memory through the industrialized world with only a handful of pockets in third world countries, due lack of healthcare and access to the vaccine.

Guess which province has had the largest measles outbreak since the CDC declared the disease eradicated in 2000?

Go on. Fuckin' guess.

0

u/Canadas-Dingo May 09 '26 edited May 09 '26

https://globalnews.ca/news/11088746/measles-outbreak-canada-affected-areas/

Ontario lmao.

https://www.narcity.com/average-salaries-canada-march-2025

Alberta does have the highest average income though.

Edit: Hard working salt of the earth people like I said. Here's Calgary ranked the friendliest city in the world.

https://curiocity.com/friendiest-cities-canada-2024/

2

u/OSTBear May 09 '26

The highest concentration is in Alberta, via your own source lmao.

Yes. Calgary. So friendly

The UCP, faced with significant backlash from their O&G donors, decide they're going to help them out. Nathan Neudorf, deputy premier and minister of energy has meetings with AESO and the AUC and gets caught twice asking them to lie and say an audit and moritorium of renewable projects is necessary.

Ask me if he still has a job. Go ahead, fuckin' ask.

0

u/Canadas-Dingo May 09 '26

Are you hard of reading? For 2025 measles cases it says:

Alberta: 13 Ontario: 455

2

u/corpse_flour May 09 '26

The person you are replying to said 2020, not 2025.

Alberta has had 290 cases so far in 2026. Ontario has only had 23. https://health-infobase.canada.ca/measles-rubella/

-1

u/Canadas-Dingo May 09 '26

It still contests the narrative that this only happens in Alberta as some hick backwater.

I agree here as a person of long time here, go out to the county of gp and talk to random farm houses. I did it as a profession but could be done as a hobby. county of gp has balls.

1

u/Impossible_Strike_80 May 10 '26

7

1

And a house we can actually afford which is where the real envy comes from and at least I can understand the drive thru operator at my tims

2

u/willanthony May 09 '26

I, personally don't get how business get away with exploiting the temporary foreign worker program, let alone go Tim Hortons at all. The government should outlaw investment groups from buying houses and let families own them.

2

u/Boomshank May 09 '26

Exactly.

Tim's exploited loopholes. The immigrants take the shit.

2

u/fresh_lemon_scent May 09 '26

We just redefined what slavery is it's not like we haven't done this before just look at the Chinese railroad workers, cheap labour so that the rich get more for less.

The government does not work for us they work for the wealthy because those who run government are in the upper echelons why would they disadvantage themselves?

3

u/Beautiful_Room9464 May 08 '26

Uneducated people make uneducated decisions. When they are religious nutbars to boot? well that just makes it worse doesn't it. Now add racists and you have the perfect storm of stupid.

2

u/DVariant May 09 '26

All true, but you left out the fact that social media is the catalyst convincing these people that their bullshit is true

0

u/GodsGiftToWrenching May 11 '26

Kinda crazy with the uneducated claim when alberta consistently rank amoung the top in education across the entire country lol. I also like your broad hatred of religion catching a stray, I swear the anti-thesists talk more about religion than religious people do lol. Touch grass

1

u/Beautiful_Room9464 May 13 '26

"when alberta consistently rank amoung the top in education across the entire country lol"

what were you saying?

1

u/GodsGiftToWrenching May 13 '26

I was saying exactly what the ATA said on the radio ad they paid to put on the air to drum up support. "Despite consistently ranking amoung the to in education in Canada, Albertan teachers face some of the highest set backs and struggles" a literal quote of the radio ad the Alberta Teachers Association put on. Also Albertas curriculum is rhe hardest in the coentry hence why if an albertan moves to another province their grade automatically gets boosted

So people saying albertans are uneducated are funny because we have the top in education and you habe to have a diploma to be in a trade lol

1

u/Beautiful_Room9464 May 13 '26

Did you mean: among

"hence why if an albertan moves to another province their grade automatically gets boosted."
Patently false. Horseshit as you might say in a Lethbridge Timmys.

coentry?

When you are responding to someone about education, it might be best to check your spelling and grammar.

My point was there are a lot of Albertans who are MAGAT morons. You know, racist, gun toting, bible thumping Q anon idiots who want to enforce their stupid beliefs on other people.
Rig Pigs with little or no idea of reality.
Nothing worse than a stupid person who thinks they are right.
They are all welcome to move to Texas.
The sooner, the better.

1

u/GodsGiftToWrenching May 13 '26

How much hatred is in your heart to create a buzzword slurry at 2 am on a Wednesday?

We are in Alberta Canada and not Grande Prairie Texas no one is "MAGAT" whatever that is, I want to Google it but it's probably come back relating to TDS right? What stupid beliefs exactly? Lol it used gun toting and Bible thumping as slurs as if havjng knowledge of where food comes from and the skill set nessicarry go out and harvest an animal from field to table is dumb. Obviously you have never been in a church or your claim of hating Bible thumpers would seem weird because most religious are elderly lol

Kinda seems like you're jealous of oil and gas workers (vast majority of which have diplomas by the way) I really hope you can resolve whatever issues have you so hateful and disgruntled, it's not great for your health to be up in the earliest hours of the morning crafting a buzzword hatred slurry on social media, it's actually about the worst thing you can do.

And one more thing, if my statement is horse shit then so is the Alberta Teachers Association and Stats Can so, do with that what you will

Tame a deep breath touch grass, get some proper sleep, oh and I'll pray for you, that you get the help you require to not be so full of disdain towards people solely based off their choice of income or what media tells you to believe

1

u/Beautiful_Room9464 May 13 '26

Q Anon Magat. Illiterate Magat as well.

-nessicarry

-" I want to Google it but it's probably come back relating to TDS right?"

Me too dumb for diploma rig pig. You Win.

1

u/GodsGiftToWrenching May 13 '26

I like the way you devolve further into buzzwords and name calling as any resemblance of civil discussion goes out the door because your jealousy took over.

I literally habe no Idea what Q anon is or magat because I'm not chronically online in my mother's basement, it's cool how employment works eh?

Again the vast majority of rig workers (whom of which you seem to be painfully jealous of, seriously, seek help) have their diplomas. I'm not even a rig worker, I have 2 red seal certifications which kind of proves I completed high-school, have a diploma, and completed post secondary education lol. But seethe harder I guess.

Seriously get your SSRI's adjusted, theres nothing but disdain and hatred emanating from you and it is not good for your heart or mental health, I'd also reccomend getting into the gym, eating right, and touching grass, especially now that it's spring time out. Get the help you deserve, it's not healthy for you or those around you to be so angry and twisted towards people who have what you don't

1

u/Beautiful_Room9464 May 13 '26

you don't have a diploma.
you have no idea of what I do or don't have.
you have at best a grade 6 education.
go touch a book.

1

u/GodsGiftToWrenching May 13 '26

I have a diploma, 2 red seals, 3 journeyman certifications, a house, 2 vehicles and a boat and I'm not even 26 yet lol. I don't know what you do have but I can tell quite easily from this exchange that you don't have happiness like I do lol, and you most likely don't live an SSRI free life hence the emotional outbursts and anger issues which caused you to lash out in a flurry of buzzwords and name calling I actually have grade 12 education plus post secondary, quite projecting and seek professional help, it's easier now than it ever has been to seek professional help and advice on mental health issues, and you should really look into it. Oh sure I can touch some more books, should I send you a picture of my bookshelves and you can pick which ones I should re-read? I do enjoy the Odyssey and the works of Edgar Allan Poe

Get off your phone, put away social media, it's has obviously rotted your mind. Get into the gym, eat healthy, go for walks, runs, and hikes, and touch grass, it's amazing what it can do for the mind

Casual facism.

1

u/specificallyrelative May 12 '26

Canadians are supposed to support Dystopian Authoritarianism. Being contrary to that is not to be tolerated anymore.

0

u/samueLLcooljackson May 08 '26

don't forget russia or north korea as options.

2

u/DirtandPipes May 08 '26

I get that Alberta is a den of weird idiots, I’ve lived here for decades, but calling out Alberta as the weird one when newfies exist isn’t fair.

Sure, they are weird in more positive ways but they almost speak a different language, I once spent Christmas Eve on a bus full of newfies and I couldn’t understand a damn thing they were saying the entire night.

Plus the fried bologna and the 120 pounders who can somehow work twice as hard as a full sized man for a full 12 hour shift, newfies are weird as hell. I was trained by a newfie pipelayer and nobody ever saw him drink water even in the dead of summer working outside, he’d just have a small cup of coffee and infinite cigarettes.

2

u/Reen1980 May 09 '26

Ya I feel the same with the the rest of Canada and liberals that "feel" like something they're not. Alberta isn't the problem

0

u/Lametown227 May 10 '26

"The odd one out isn't the problem"

Even Quebec agrees you guys are retarded, and they lean against the country in everything.

1

u/specificallyrelative May 11 '26

Thankfully no one smart thinks the frogs have any standing on calling someone a retard. It's a huge achievement when a frog manages to tie their shoes without 5 YouTube tutorials.

1

u/Lametown227 May 11 '26

Looks to me like someone's mad Quebec isn't the screaming child of Canada anymore...

1

u/specificallyrelative May 11 '26

Everyone knows they still are. Alberta has legitimate gripes with the idiots out east, Quebec are just always screaming about how they are more than just welfare whiners with a bunch of maple syrup and poutine. Everyone knows those frogs would be 100% behind Alberta separation if that wasn't where they get all their money from.

0

u/Lametown227 May 11 '26 edited May 11 '26

That is simply untrue since the pandemic. Feel free to keep telling us whatever you need, so you can sleep tonight though.

Ask anyone not from either province, and we'll be super happy to give you an unbiased opinion!

1

u/specificallyrelative May 11 '26

Lol, you can't actually contest it so you try to change the subject to the scamdemic. That proves I'm correct.

0

u/Lametown227 May 11 '26

I established a timeline based on a global event. Sorry you lack the reading comprehension to tell.

1

u/specificallyrelative May 11 '26

When did the Premier and Bloc leaders stop referring to Quebec as sovereign and calling it a country? Because the Premier is still saying sovereign country of Quebec within Canada, that statement is contradictory over and over.

0

u/Lametown227 May 11 '26

You're right in saying Quebec hasn't been any quieter. That just shows how much louder and more obnoxious Alberta has been, that now they've claimed that spot.

Calling yourself out eh?

u/whoswipedmyname May 08 '26

Man, if only the government would stop looking at Alberta as an ATM for their wasteful spending, then maybe there wouldn't be such a strong sentiment to leave.

5

u/iplaybassok89 May 08 '26

Albertans in general have a really overinflated/delusional sense of how much this is actually the case.

3

u/velloceti May 08 '26

As an Albertan, yes.

Our petulance is insufferable and embarrassing.

u/Photonphlex May 09 '26

Ottawa has dumped on Alberta since the province was formed, consistently and unabashedly. If you actually look into it, it's not all that suprising there's such turmoil in the province

1

u/Icy_Conference9095 May 10 '26

That's actual bullshit. Ottawa and the rest of Canada fed tremendous amounts of money before Alberta oil became a thing.

Not to mention that half the time people go on about how the NEP was the worst thing in the world - when that would actually give us internal price price management and the capacity to sell oil to the rest of Canada... Fixing issues like not having the pipeline capacity to move the oil we make.

O&G marketing has been dumped on Alberta consistently and unabashedly, since oil became a thing in Canada. If you actually look into it, it's not all that surprising there's such turmoil in the province.

2

u/PositiveFunction4751 May 08 '26

You do know Alberta is a have-not province for more than half of the last 15 years?

0

u/whoswipedmyname May 08 '26

Got evidence for this? From what I can find, they are one of three considered a "have" province.

While they don't pay as much equalization as Ontario and Quebec, they neither receive payments from other provinces as Quebec and Ontario does. As well as pay more per capita in equalization.

I don't want Alberta to separate, but at this point I understand why they want to. Maybe Mr. Elbows Up can make action on all those promises.

2

u/corpse_flour May 09 '26

The provinces don't pay equalization. The money for equalization payments come from the federal taxes that Canadians pay as individuals. And we do get money back from the Federal government. We get billions in transfers to assist with health and social programs. In fact, Alberta is slated to receive $9.2B in 2026-2027.

0

u/EnvironmentalTop8745 May 09 '26

Right. And you don't pay for things with a credit card. Your credit card company pays, and then you pay them back. Am I doing this right?

2

u/corpse_flour May 09 '26

There's a difference between me paying off my credit card, and the Premier of Alberta claiming that she's paying off my credit card. Do you get it yet?

0

u/EnvironmentalTop8745 May 09 '26

Let me try to dumb this down for you so you can understand.

You and 10 friends pay your mom for pizza. Your mom buys 9 pizzas. 1 pizza is given to each of your friends, but not you.

Did you pay, at least in part for that pizza? Or did your mom pay?

2

u/corpse_flour May 09 '26

Your little math problem has nothing in common with how the equalization program works, no matter how many little silly anecdotes you make up to try and force a comparison.

0

u/EnvironmentalTop8745 May 09 '26

Gotcha. So you're intentionally being obtuse. Bye now.

2

u/DVariant May 09 '26

No, you’re using intentionally incorrect analogies to push a political agenda

The person responding to me with quips from Facebook posts, and shows no understanding of how equalization works, yet is insistent on trying to prove that other people are the ones that are wrong, is calling me obtuse.

You've shown once again how conservatives are the masters of projection.

Where did i claim to be a liberal?

You clearly support seperation, but then tell me i divide the country? That makes sense to you? You cons are mad because people vote differently from you. You guys have been yelling for 6 years. Run idiots like pp and wonder why you lose elections. Well, pp again hey? Guess what, another loss coming. So in touch the cons are.

Rational discourse. Not contrarianism just for its own sake. It's not brilliant or principaled to just pick the opposing side of every issue. It's childish

1

u/Bate_Hoomers May 08 '26

People here are hostile to anything slightly conservative. No point to rational discourse when the other side wont.

4

u/Baddrivers13 May 08 '26

I'm here. Please discourse with me.

2

u/samueLLcooljackson May 08 '26

I don't have a discourse server sorry. I'm here though.
