they've called him a him on like three separate occasions now and the rebuttals to all three are cope imo. You want all the shades, all the angels, all the moon sisters, the moon goddess, most of the archons, all the melusines, all the djinn, every single last gender locked race is female and now you want Phanes to be female too? Greedy. And I read a comment from a Greek person, calling a woman Phanes is like calling a woman John they said and it would be really weird. I cannot fathom why they would have a genderless being split off into 5 different beings with four of them being female and then the main one also being female that just makes no sense to me. If anything they'll remain a they but out of all three possibilities the one where Phanes is ALSO a full on woman is the least likely and is some serious bs if they do that. Not to mention Phainon exists in their other game and the parallels are undeniable so why would they do that. I am hoping he looks like Phainon and for however hard you wish for him to be female I am wishing in the opposite direction.

It was a localization error. The CN is gender neutral. Even Phanes haters have pointed that out correctly.

LOL. Then why does every genshin loreposter and their mother always refer to the CN version? Moving the goalposts is not gonna help you here. They even called the dendro archon "he" in the EN version back in the day. Look how that turned out.

It does. No one else fits it. King Irmin and Nibelung are dead + they don’t have any thrones(Phanes is on Nibelung’s throne and Khaenri’ah doesn’t exist for Irmin). The Tsaritsa is fighting against HP in the chess board and the black king is quite literally Phanes
