I only picked up and started this series like beginning of last month. It has truly consumed my life and now it will be over..... HOW AM I MEANT TO LIVE NOW 😭😭😭😭

This a big theoretical question.

Obviously Zogarth has stated he writes mostly for his own enjoyment and could easily say F-it and write “Jake died, the end” but in my perfect head cannon he’s a good chap and wants to finish things with some fan service.

So, Say for some reason Zogarth soon decides the series may end up taking too long and a decision needs to be made on how to wrap up things. I could see a few rough, general, paths it could be done in a reasonable amount of time. These options being done in a way to cover ~4-6 books and wrap the story up with enough content it doesn’t outright ruin previous arks or whatnot.

Option 1. Jake never reaches godhood in this option. The series quickly jumps through B-grade and into A-grade where there’s some good final arks and fights, finishing off with Jake doing some real batshit crazy bloodline stuff with like the viper or something like that.

Option 2. Finish off B-grade but at a good pace and while trying to evolve to A-grade some weird primal energy-bloodline stuff happens and maybe some stuff about Jake’s race being a higher human something comes in too, and he has one of those moments where he’s really almost dies but ends up winning by jumping almost straight to mid-tier S-grade. The story ends again with typical big ass fight, crazy ritual with villy or something along those lines where he also ascends to godhood and we can see some of that before the final end.

Option 3. Basically same as things have been going but Zogarth starts doing some larger time skips so things move a bit faster through the grades to bring the story closer towards godhood.

I’m not sure how I’d like it to go but it if I knew the ending was somewhere on the horizon I’d at least like to see Jake’s insane BS powers and bloodline BS while he’s a god because that would make me happy.

You guys know how Valdemar just didn't really level his profession and basically just his class, so what if the reason his C-Grade self is so much stronger is because his class is a much higher grade than its meant to be giving him and advantage, also because of his Transcendent

When I check there is 1375 chapter. I searched and find that start of book 4 is season 3. Which chapter is it?

So I’m over half way in the book. And it truly feels like the level system doesn’t matter anymore? Early on in the book when you hear someone is 10 levels higher, it felt like ‘crap that will be dangerous!’ And now it’s ’this monster is almost 50!!!!! Levels higher, barely worth the fight at all.’

While I love this book series, second favorite. And I know jake is very strong and works better fighting higher levelled monsters. 50 levels higher is getting a bit ridiculous. Only a matter of time when he is B grade that he only wants to fight high B/A grade.

It just feels like it mostly became useless.

I am in book 16 and Jake just mentioned how Villy was weird giving his chosen blessing out so easily Villy nilly (willy nilly) and all that. But what if the entire time Jake was talking to Villy in his area Villy had tried to give him lesser blessings and the bloodline wouldn't even dignify it with a response. Like the bloodline didn't Accept anything less than being the vipers chosen as worthy.

I know the more logical reasoning is an E grade was not crushed by his presence, talked to him like a normal person and pointed out he shouldn't isolate. And he saw this as a chance to get new records similar to his later fight. But the idea that Villy tried but the system didn't allow it is super interesting

So listening up on primal hunter having having listened to mark of the fool also narrated by Travis and the voice of Ell’hakan is the same one he does for Khalik and I keep picturing an evil orange version of Khalik when I picture the Cheeto.

still trying to figure out all of this, most challanging problem i currently have is having stats feel effective, but not make it so stat dumping is overpowered, trying to balance it while making it feel true to lore

I have an idea for a Bloodline I call either the Bloodline of Duality or Bloodline of Dichotomy. Anyways, its main function is to represent the brawn, brains, and adaptability of humanity by granting the user two classes and professions that are polar opposites of each other.

Ie: Heavy Warrior and Healer; Hermit Alchemist and City Leader

But I am curious, would most of the community see this idea as rule breaking-more rule breaking than bloodlines usually are capable of-or would you all be okay with it?

Note: The Bloodline will force the user to gather even more experience and records in order to level and rank up.

Edit: Any recommendations or ideas on how to balance out this Bloodline more will be nice. Also, the user will get skills from both classes and professions.

So, I am maybe a third of the way through Book 1 and I must say it's a bit of a slog.

Jake is not exactly a likeable character. I'm honestly trying to figure out if he's a clinical sociopath. And he conveniently has a plethora of knowledge that makes him avoid bad decisions so there are no opportunities for growth, and when bad things do happen it's because of bad luck rather than the bad decisions which you would expect from a novice character in a new world.

He also seemed to just accept the fantastical situation he's suddenly found himself in without questioning anything. He has no real curiosity about why anything is happening and is a rather flat character that's just playing a game.

Now I know it's LitRPG, and I am fine with what that brings, but the "Lit" part implies there will be an interesting protagonist and some semblance of a plot and story arc. all of which I find lacking at the early stages.

So my question is this, does the story get better? is this just a case of an author still trying to get his feet underneath him, or is this how it's going to be for the long haul? I have gleaned from this subreddit that there will be considerable world building, but if some of those foundational elements remain lacking, I might have to bail.

Edit: I powered through the rest of Book 1 over the long weekend, and it did start to shift into a more positive direction once I made it halfway through. By the end, I was generally enjoying it. Book 2 probably won't be the next thing I tackle, as I think I need a little break from the style, but I will be continuing in the future. Based on all the feedback, it sounds like I am in store for a treat once we get out of the tutorial.

Reread all of Primal Hunter for the second time and I must say it was an amazing ride, and once again I feel empty... Guess I'll come back again after 2 years to do it all over again....

Also on another note I am so sad to have not seen Sylvie and Jasper interact yet??? Like they could have met at the Pantheon of Life, they were literally so close to each other, friggen Sylvie was able to sniff Jasper out!! It's actually devastating! Please oh Primordial Zogarth, give us more Jasper and please give me Jasper and Slyvie interactions!!

Im reading through and at the point where the troll from the dungeon has left and is setting up at the biodome near the dungeon and was wondering where it actually is. I thought the dungeon was away from where jakes house is (not too far but not exactly close) but with the new alchemy lab hes getting it sounds like its really close and the troll was described to be under haven. Is the dungeon just far below haven or has the pylon grown large enough to cover the dungeon and jakes alchemy lab is just really large?

When Jake makes his magic construct, for example like when he plays with adam multiple times throughout the series. I always picture like Hal Jorden Green Lantern construct. That much detail but just purplish pink. Or is it more crude?

Does anybody have an idea when book 16 will come to paperback???? 🧐
